DESCRIPTION

QPS/mPay Gateway offers physicians and all health providers the ability to estimate, authorize and capture a patient’s commitment to their payment responsibility, while they are in the office. Our solution enables physicians to estimate the cost of current or future procedures. Concurrently, While the patient is still in the office, we collect a credit card “authorization-only” on the estimate, to reserve their funds until post-adjudication finally occurs. Since the funds have already been reserved, By using our platform, on receipt of the EOB, funds are deposited in to your account within 24 to 48 hours and the file is closed. It’s that simple. Very similar to how you would book a hotel room in advance of your stay.

• Merchant terminal in the office is not “health care intelligent” - Used for co-payments - Does not support payment authorization for future settlement - Does not exchange data with the practice management system

• Most patients leave your office without knowing the price or what they owe - Three weeks later, the insurance company sends the physician what to charge the patient known as EOB – (estimation of benefits) - The physician sends a paper bill to the patient, and can expect to send two to three more before the payment is made

• Cost to the physician? - Cost average 25% of the amount finally collected - On average 50% of patient collectables is written off as bad debt
