Narendra Modi, Prime Minister ofIndia invited Barack Obama to Indiafor Republic Day Celebration.

The American President was invitedas a Chief Guest in India.

Addressing an audience at Siri fort,Mr. Obama started his speech bysaying Namaste!

Mr. Obama spoke on various aspects such as climate change, Indian farmers technology, terrorism, high-tech, high-wage jobs of the future.

He mentioned that if countries wanted to develop effectively, they must educate and empower their daughters as much as their sons.

He expressed his desire to have more American students coming to India than Indian students studying in America.

American President laid out his vision for how our two nations can build business, technology, and employment partnership.

He also said that Indians need to forge partnerships in high-tech sectors like defense and civil space.

According to Mr. Obama, instead of depending on commodities and exports, India had to invest in science and technology.

Most important statement, Mr. Obama addressed in SiriFort, was farmer (Agriculture) technology and jobs.

He emphasis on getting more mechanized tools to increase agricultural productivity.

U.S and India aim to help millions of Indian farmers by:-

Improving food processing so crops don’t wilt on the way to market.

Enhancing climate and crop forecasting techniques to avoid losses that cripple communities and drive up food prices.

Special Agriculture and Village Industry Scheme to promote Exports Agricultural Produce and their value added products.
