The young Goulet

Young Goulet leaves for college

• Daytime at home of Goulet’s family

• Phone call with Will Ferrell and client while rest of the team is watching him and listening to him talking on the phone

• Of course, we’ll get the definitive agreement right over to you

• Ferrell hangs up and celebrates with high fives among the team, instructs his legal to get the definitive agreement in place for the client

• Dissolve to:

Arrives at college, discovered by choir singing coach and convinced to join choir

• Nighttime driving home to large Manhattan homes and pretty wives

• Ferrell, Stiller, Helms all kiss their pretty wives and greet their children

• Ferrells wife asks Ferrell if he saw the news about the trouble on Wall Street and he assures her that Lehman is too big to fail and that the fed will bail them out

Joins the choir and excels

• Daytime at Lehman Brothers in office watching televisions

• Ferrell, Helms and Stiller are all watching the television and flipping out, making calls

Goulet meets the girl

Goulet meets the girl

• Evening time at choir practice

Goulet dating the girl

• Evening time out at different places

Goulet gets engaged

• Evening time at their apartment

Goulet decides that he needs to make money

• Afternoon on campus

Goulet does the circuits

Singing at bars, night clubs

• Night time at bars and night clubs

Doing Weddings, Bar Mitzvahs

• Nighttime at bar

Doing kids birthday parties

• Nighttime then next morning at their apartments

Goulet makes it big & gets

signed to make a musical

Music producer sees Goulet, gives him a deal

Success of initial record leads to

another opportunity, an opportunity to make the musical

Quality of life improves, gets

better gigs, larger audiences

Encounters enemy Jimmy Valentine who is competing

with Goulet for the musical

Goulet gets caught up in

the limelight & loses his voice

Goulet makes more money, bigger house, agent

Agent gets in between Goulet and

wife and Gouletbecomes distant

Goulet gets signed to do the musical

Goulet while signing on the biggest stage,

loses voice, continues without

any sound

Goulet gets replaced by his enemy

Jimmy Valentine

Goulet continues to do tour but no voice,

will not believe he does not have a

voice

Goulet notified that he is getting

replaced by Jimmy Valentine and flips

out

Gets into fight with wife

Goulet loses everything

including the girl &

attempts to unsuccessfully

change careers

The wife tells him need separation and Goulet leaves house

Agent tells him to take time off

Trying to sign at gigs and no one shows

up

Takes random job and time off allows

his voice to heal

Goulet makes a comeback

Goulet finds himself singing

Calls new agent and gets him small gigs

Larger gigs

Contacts the musical producer and

pitches to them and they decide to go

with Goulet

Goulet gets the girl back

Serenades his wife publicly

Goulet gets the girl back

Goulet makes the musical
