Fairfield Greenwich Group Adds Partner and Head of Global Sales, Maria Teresa Pulido

September 26, 2007. Fairfield Greenwich Group (“FGG”), a global alternative asset management firm with over USD $15 billion assets under management, today announced that it has added a senior professional to its team at the hedge fund specialist's Madrid representative office. Maria Teresa Pulido will join as a Partner and Head of Global Sales. She will have responsibility for managing FGG´s global sales force and for developing new markets to enhance FGG´s overall business development. FGG Founding Partner Andrés Piedrahita commented: “As our business continues to grow – thus far during 2007 we have added approximately USD $2.5 billion in assets and more than 15 people to our staff – we believed that it was critical to hire a proven professional of Maria Teresa´s caliber to lead and manage what is now one of the largest dedicated hedge fund marketing teams in the world, a group of over 20 professionals. With Madrid as her base, she will travel and regularly interact with her team in our New York and London offices, as well as at FGG´s other representative offices worldwide. We have high confidence that Maria Teresa will contribute a great deal to FGG´s ongoing business development, as we seek new market opportunities, and continue to expand and improve our enterprise. Our investors may be assured that FGG will continue to add personnel and resources when and where we believe they will best serve our shared interests.” Ms. Pulido has over 17 years of experience in private banking, investment banking, and management consulting. Prior to joining FGG, from 2003 to 2007, she was Managing Director and Global Market Manager at Citi Private Bank with management responsibilities for the Iberia and Northern European regions. Ms. Pulido was instrumental in creating a team that is recognized in the market, increasing Citi´s business exponentially in Iberia, and creating a strong partnership with Citi´s Investment Bank, which resulted in substantial business growth. Prior to Citi, from 2000 to 2003, Ms. Pulido focused on developing the Global Wealth Management group for Deutsche Bank Global Private Banking in Europe and managing the integration of Bankers Trust with Deutsche Bank. From 1996 to 2000, she managed the New York sales force and supported the business strategy for the U.S. business at Banker's Trust and later at Deutsche Bank Group. Before her experience in wealth management, Ms. Pulido worked from 1994 to 1996 in investment banking at James D. Wolfensohn Inc. and in management consulting at McKinsey & Company from 1989 to 1994, working on various strategy and operational performance projects in the U.S. and in Venezuela.
