• Course Requirements• Final Grades will be

calculated as follows:• Blogs – 50 %• Chapter Tests – 20 %• Final Exam – 20 %• Participation and

Attendance – 10%

• Blogs - weekly writing assignment discussing the material from the Nichols reader - should engage and discuss, not summarize - Will divide class into groups of three

• Entry – 500 words or more, due every Monday

• Responses – Two 250 word responses due every Friday

• Chapter Tests – 5 online, multiple choice tests; lowest score will be dropped

• Final Exam – a final, comprehensive, in class exam given during finals week

• Attendance and Participation

• Any student missing more than 10 class meetings will fail

• Being late is considered the same as being absent

• Personal Electronic Devices are prohibited

• First Readings – this week (by Wednesday) you need to read AGP chapter 8

• For next week – You need to read AGP ch. 9 and Nichols pp. 152-160 (and do your first blog entry on this)

• First test (over AGP chs. 8-9) will be put on Blackboard at the end of next week

• First Blog Entry must be posted on Blackboard no later than Tuesday
