2014 COVENANT WOMEN ’S MINISTRIES
17TH ANNUAL STATEWIDE RETREAT
September 19-21, 2014
North Star Bible Camp, Willow, Alaska
“WHOLEHEARTED”
Wholehearted: Romans 12
This fall we will be discovering what it means to
live wholeheartedly in Christ, being joyful, patient,
and faithful. We will continue to weave our stories
together as we fellowship in worship, in the Word,
and in our recreation. We will again be blessed to
hear from four different and wonderful Alaskans.
ladies.
Tina, moved to Anchorage in 1995
from her hometown of International
Falls, MN. She is a wife, mother,
sister, auntie, great-auntie and a mess.
That’s right, a mess. Tina enjoys
volunteering with children’s ministry
at Chugach Covenant Church (C3).
She hosts Bible studies and home
groups with the C3 church family.
Another ministry passion is found in
“God Behind Bars” at Hiland
Mountain Correctional Center. She is
an active volunteer and board
member of the Alaska Multiple
Sclerosis Center (AMSC). As a
lifelong introvert, it has taken years for
her to open-up and share with others.
“Life has much to teach those willing
to learn. My faith in Christ helps me
wholeheartedly enjoy this roller-
coaster of life.”

and her family moved to Alaska,
and after living here for two years
they decided to get out of the Air

permanently. Soon after, in 2007,
Erika began working for

ROMANS 12:12
Rejoice in hope!
Celebrate!
Shout!
Dance with our Maker!
Play in the dappled sunlight
Echo the sweet song of brook and bird
Laugh with all the children of God’s good earth
Feast on The Promise
Who alone is steadfast
Who alone satisfies and strengthens
Be patient in suffering beloved
Pain clouds the truth
Perspective will hide, so be patient
Christ is still near, weeping with you
Let the tears wash the ashes from your eyes
Let them cleanse the confusion
Remember and Re-joy
Suffering comes to all
it prunes, it breaks open
Like Christ, we die to live
We too are buried only to burst forth in spring green growth
Persevere in prayer
Keep your hand to the plow,
The Spirit at the lead
Drive to the Source
Drive deep
Learn to be loved, to be love
Quick to know the will of the Known and the Knowing
Go deep, go often
Go to the Source
Why unplug your fire power?
Why exchange it for something frail, false, passing?
God’s fire does not destroy, it burns away
so you may be full of Light
