� Statway  strives  to  be  innovative;  it  is  not  a  traditional  lecture  class.  Students  learn  through  real  world  applications  that  are  useful  and  relevant  to  their  daily  lives.  

� Statway  is  a  new  class  that  has  been  taught  all  over  the  country  for  2  years  now.  

� It  has  been  very  successful  in  helping  students  get  the  college  math  credit  they  need  in  order  to  transfer.

A  New  Way  to  Learn  Math  � Students  often  feel  nervous  to  take  math  classes  because  they  have  struggled  or  have  been  unsuccessful  in  the  past.    

� Statway  teaches  math  differently,  focusing  on  student  investigations,  group  work,  and  interactive  learning.  

� Statway  is  a  1-­‐semester  class  that  allows  you  to  go  from  remedial  level  math  to  college  level  statistics.  That  means  you  complete  your  college  math  requirement  in  only  1  year!    

 

Make  Transferring  a  Reality  � Statway  can  help  students  reduce  the  time  spent  at  community  college  by  making  college  math  credit  a  reality.  

� Statway  has  helped  many  students  achieve  their  Bachelor’s  degree  by  giving  them  an  opportunity  to  learn  quantitative  skills,  rather  than  creating  another  barrier  to  their  degree.

� You  have  placed  out  of,  or  passed,  College  Prep  Reading  and  Writing.
