In everything I did, I showed you that by
this kind of hard work we must help
the weak, remembering the
words the Lord Jesus himself said: “It is
more blessed to give than to receive.”

How and Where to Support Westminster Towers
Donations by Check or Cash: Please make your check payable to Westminster Towers and note in the memo line which fund your gift is to be used for. Gifts of cash should be accompanied by the same information in writing. Gifts of Stock: Gifts of appreciated secur ities can be advantageous to the donor , providing a charitable deduction for the full value of the stock at the time the gift is made, while avoiding capital gains tax on increased stock value. The value of the gift of stock is based on 100% of the stock’s value on the date you transfer your shares to Westminster Towers. Bequests: Made through your will, a bequest enables you to retain the proper ty until after death and avoid estate taxes. The bequest can designate distribution of either a specific dollar amount or percentage of the estate. All bequests to our organization must specify our official organization’s name, Westminster Presbyterian Center, Inc. Resident Refund: This option allows some residents the oppor tunity to donate their entrance fee refund back to the ministry of Westminster Towers. Endowment Fund This fund ensures that no resident should have to leave his or her Westminster Towers home for financial reasons. All tribute gifts* are placed into this fund unless noted otherwise. This Spring, the Servant Heart Society will meet for our annual luncheon to acknowledge all contributors who have given $500 or more to our Endowment Fund or volunteered 100 or more hours in 2016. Capital Campaign Fund Donors may wish to designate their charitable gift in support of improvements to the Westminster Towers campus. Contributions made to this fund will be used for a relocation of the café, upgrades to the dining room and an expansion to the fitness center. Capital gifts are a wonderful opportunity to create a lasting gift, as the building updates can be named on behalf of the donor or in honor or memory of a loved one. Gifts to the General Fund These gifts are directed to the operating budget to support daily programming. Gifts will be used for the betterment of the retirement ministry, as deemed appropriate by the management or Board of Directors. Ethel King/Rita Marx Employee Education Scholarship Fund Annually, Westminster Towers raises and distributes continuing education scholarships to employees wishing to further their education toward an undergraduate or trade school certificate. The Ethel King Scholarship Fund was named in memory of Ethel King and Rita Marx, former residents of Westminster Towers by their families. Gifts to Specific Funds From time to time, a specific fund will be established to assist our community in reaching a needed goal: Employee Assistance, Life Enrichment, Employee Appreciation, Employee Library, and Share the Spirit fund. These funds highlight examples of efforts from current donors to enhance the lives of others. * Tribute Gifts Tributes, also known as memorials or honorariums, may support any of the above Funds and are a personal way to recognize special people, pets, or friends who have touched our lives. A tribute gift may be made to support a unique project or can support one of Westminster Tower’s funds.
To learn more about tax-deductible contributions call, 800-345-6026 or 803-328-5125. Westminster Ministries Foundation will assist you through a confidential meeting.
