MANAGEMENT PROGRAM FOR MEASUREMENT DATA, MEASURING
PROGRAMS AND PROBING SYSTEMS
All management programs are integrated to the spur gear measuring program TGear (Art.-No.
W7060002000). The following programs are part of TGear by default:
• TMain – Program and data management
• TStylus – Styli management
• TCali – Calibration program
• TAlign – Axis alignment
TInfo can be added optionally to present measuring results and statistical values graphically.
TMAIN – PROGRAM AND DATA MANAGEMENT
TMain ist he main management program and allows to save and manage all measurement related
data. This includes:
• Management of the work piece catalogue and the related measuring programs.
• Management of measurement results. A subsequent evaluation of the last 50 measurements of every single work piece is possible. The parameters concerning representation of the measurement results like chart magnification and length can be changed.
• Complete measurement procedures, like they are needed for block wheels and shafts, can be save das macro and be executed fully automated.
Furthermore the following set ups can be made:
• Language settings
• Measurement unit (mm / inch)
• Definition of the automated memory location for work piece, measurement and statistic data
• Pass word protection for all data input programs. This allows enabling software access only to execute measuring programs.
• Long term data storage (Option – Long Term W7060002016)
TMain is part of the standard scope of supply.
TSTYLUS – STYLI MANAGEMENT
The configuration and management of
the probing system are carried out
with the module TStylus. The real
probe configuration is graphically
copied and can be assigned to a port
of an automated changing rack.
TStylus is part of the standard scope
of supply.
TCALI – CALIBRATION PROGRAM
The calibration of the probing systems and the changing rack as well as the rotary table is carried out
with TCali. The calibration routine is carried out automatically.
TCali is part of the standard scope of supply.
TALIGN – AXIS ALIGNMENT
The software TAlign determines the eccentricity and tilt of the workpiece axis. Between three different
methods can be chosen:
1. Axis determined by measurement of axial and radial run out on bearings, plane surfaces or
holes.
2. Axis determined by self-centering probe in tooth gap
3. Axis determined by measurement of single points (tech-in-programming), e.g. on tooth tip.
The measurement to establish the workpiece coordinate system is carried out on a physically rough
aligned part. The maximum wobble error respectively the maximum eccentricity can be up to 2 mm.
This procedure reduces the time to align the part significantly.
TAlign is part of the standard scope of supply.
TINFO - PRESENTATION OF THE ALIGNMENT AND MEASUREMENT RESULTS
AND QUALITY CONTROL CHART
TInfo is used for the graphical presentation of measurement results and statistics. Results from the
alignment with TAlign and measurement results from TGear, for the measurement of spur and helical
gears, and TSpline, for testing spline shafts, can be presented.
For statistical evaluation up to 16 features can be shown simultaneously. These are updated with
every new determined measurement result and can be displayed remote via LAN in real time, e.g. in
an office. Furthermore statistic parameters like average, cp- and cpk-value can be calculated.
TInfo is available as option – Art.-No. W7060002072

INSPECTION OF SPLINE SHAFTS, SPLINE BORE HUBS AND SERRATED
TOOTHING
TSPLINE - SPLINE SHAFTS AND SPLINE BORE HUBS WITH STRAIGHT
FLANKS
Spline shafts and spline bore hubs as well as serrated toothing (according to DIN 5481, ISO 14, DIN
ISO 5472 or DIN ISO 6413, etc.) with straight flanks can be inspected with TSpline.
TSpline offers the following inspection possibilities:
• Profile and lead
• Pitch and run-out
The measurements for profile and lead as well as the measurements for tip and root circle diameter
are carried out with a clearly defined radial probing strategy.
The following inspections are carried out with a self-centering probing strategy:
• Run-out and roundness inspection
• Diameter
• Tooththickness
• MdK
The measurement report can be printed as pdf-file.
TSpline is available as option – Art.-No. W7060002042
SPECIAL PROGRAMS FOR GEOMETRIC IINSPECTION
TSHAFT – INSPECTION OF ROTATIONALLY SYMMETRICAL PARTS
Rotationally symmetrical parts can be inspected according to their geometrical tolerances and form
and position tolerances with TShaft.
The single characteristic inspections can be combined in a single measurement procedure:
• Diameter
• Distance
• Axial and radial run-out
• Perpendicularity and parallelism
• Roundness
o LSC (Least squares circle)
o MCC (minimum circumscribed circle)
o MIC (maximum inscribed circle)
o MZC (minimum zone circle)
• Flatness and straightness
• Accumulated run-out (axial and radial)
• Position
• Concentricity and coaxiality
• Symmetry
• Cylindricity
• Run-out of interrupted contours
These defiened measurement procedures can be combined with measurements of spur gears, bevel
gears and worm gears.
The software allows the measurement of totally unknown contours. This makes the use of a master
part for the creation of nominal data possible.
For measurement and evaluation up to 10 different coordinate systems can be created.
The measurement reports can either be created tabular or graphical. Afterwards they can be printed
as pdf-file.
TShaft is available as option – Art.-No. W7060002044
Page 32 of 40
TCAM - IINSPECTION OF STROKE, RADIAL CAMS AND CAMSHAFTS (OPTION
WITHIN TSHAFT)
TCam is an option to extend TShaft for measurements of camshafts, radial cams and stroke.
The measurement is carried out with a ball stylus. Although a calculation on other probe shapes is
possible. The nominal data needed for the evaluation can be imported as ASCII file.
Based upon the imported nominal data and the actual measurement values an actual-nominal-
comparison is carried out. The following construction characteristics can be calculated from these
results:
• Calculation of the displacement speed progression and the acceleration
• Calculation of the highest point of the curve
• Calculation of the rotation error (angle) of the actual curve to the nominal curve
• Angle reference to the work piece reference
• Diameter and run-out at basic circle of the cam
• Workpiece reference axis
The output of the results can be numerical or graphical. Furthermore the measured curves can be
displayed as linear plot including the following information:
• Angle reference to individual cams
• Reference axis of cams to individual bearings
• Diameter and run-out at bearings
• Lead crown at cams and bearings
• Parallelism at cams and bearings
Note: For use of TCam the program TShaft is needed.
TCam is available as option – Art.-No. W7060002043
