What is Candid?
Every year, millions of nonprofits spend trillions of dollars around the world. Candid finds out where that money comes from, where it goes, and why it matters. Through research, collaboration, and training, Candid connects people who want to change the world to the resources they need to do it.
Candid’s Mission - Candid gets you the information you need to do good.

You will be emailed a registration confirmation email that includes a link. That link will allow you to login remotely. If you do not receive the link, please call one of our local team members.
2. BEST PRACTICE: Click on the link to the posted how-to videos before you begin your first search. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6iNgILOYK3o
3. Jump in and get started!
4. Review course offerings and then sign up.
5. Watch for news to come on the Library’s reopening and on upcoming in-person classes
How to Begin
Learn How to Search
Although you can jump right in and begin your search for relevant funding opportunities, we strongly suggest using the many Candid tools available to you. These tools will show you how to narrow your searches and find the opportunities that are the best fit for your mission.
There are multiple how-to videos that you can find on YouTube and written step-by-step directions on Candid’s website that will help you along the way. You can find direct links to the resources on the Foundation’s website.
Need Help?
There is a help chat feature built into the system. You may use it when needed.
Erin and I from the Community Foundation and Erin from the Public Library are here to help you if you get lost along the way.
We ask that you please watch and read provided instructions and tutorials before reaching out.
What Not To Do!
The Community Foundation is happy to offer this resource to the CSRA. There are, however, things that could prompt Candid to revoke our licenses.
1. Do not share your log-in link with others. Please ask them to register for themselves. We MUST know who has access to the system at all times. Sharing your link could mean you will loose access to the system.
2. You are able to print your research or save it to a thumb drive. However, if Candid detects data mining, data scraping or other similar extractions occurring, they will revoke our licenses.
What Next…
Tell co-workers about Candid and let them know they can register to access the products as well.
You may register and begin logging into Candid’s basic programs as soon as this training is over.
As soon as the Library reopens to the public, FDO Professional along with other Candid programs will be available to you at the downtown branch on Telfair St.
You may start taking online trainings with Candid at any time.
Once it is safe to have in-person trainings, we will begin hosting various trainings.
