It’s International Stress Awareness Week (4
November - 8 November).
The aim of the week, which was created by the
International Stress Management Association, is to
raise awareness about stress prevention and the
importance of ensuring those who are suffering
from stress know where to go to seek advice.
It’s a good opportunity for us to highlight
Lifehacks - a fantastic Somerset resource of tips
and shared experience by young people for young
people, on how to manage stress and look after
your mental health. It includes the Little Book of
Mental Health Lifehacks.
New documents have been
added to the Schools
Information Pack on
Professional Choices to offer
further advice, support and
guidance for those working
with children and young
people.
The new documents are
available at https://
professionalchoices.org.uk/
children-young-peoples-

and include:
SMILE (Supporting Me in
Learning and Education) –
Role of the Class teacher
Signposting for support with
medical conditions
Role of the Community
Nurse.
