From the Pastor’s Pen: Dear Friends in Christ, If we can be humble enough, as the blind man was, to learn that we are not only blind, but blind so that God’s works might be revealed in us, we can credibly pray – Lord, I believe. So, let us ask ourselves, where does the new vision necessary in my life? How can I see in a new way – my family, my work, my church and my faith? Our challenge is to enlighten all who are in contact us with us. Yes, everything is possible, if we see through the eyes of Christ. Wish you all a fruitful Lenten week with Jesus the light!Fr Hilarion OSB-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------DIARY 31st Mar – Mon – Urgent Liturgy Meeting 7.30pm Presbytery 2nd April – Wed – Eucharistic Ministers Preparation Service after 7pm Mass 4th April – Frid - CWL Super Street Stall 5th April – Sat – St. Vinnies Monster Sale – Jack Kelly Store Maffra 9-10.30am 7th April – Mon – Parish Dinner – Macalister Hotel – 6pm. FATHER TED TYLER: PILGRIMAGE to the Saints and Martyrs of England, Wales and ScotlandA wonderful two-week pilgrimage to England, Wales and Scotland is available for the end of this coming September (2014). It will be led by Father Ted Tyler ([email protected]), Parish Priest of Upper Blue Mountains. The theme of it will be the heroic martyrs and saints before, during and since the Reformation. For instance, we shall visit Tyburn and the sites of the martyrdoms of Saint Thomas More, St John Fisher, as well as Canterbury with St Thomas a Becket, York with St Margaret Clitherow (the “pearl of York), Blessed John Henry Newman at Oxford and Birmingham, the Lancaster martyrs, the home of Father John Lingard (historian and author of “Hail Queen of Heaven”), and other other places famed for their place in

English Catholic history such as Downside Abbey and Arundel church and castle. It will be a great and inspiring holiday. If you would like to learn more, email Father Ted at [email protected]
