CurriculumReading: We will be reading books about holiday traditions around the world! Writing: No Writer’s Workshop this week! Watch for letters to Santa in your child’s folder. :) Science/Social Studies: Holiday Traditions Around the World! We will also discuss the difference between “wants and needs.” We will make New Year’s Resolutions! Math: Measuring length with non-standard units (feet, craft sticks, and Unifix cubes). We will compare objects and use the vocabulary, longer, shorter and the same length. We will discuss why some units of measure work better than others, and why one unit of measure gives a different result than another.

Reminders!*Please send a NUT-FREE snack with your child daily! * If your child has a transportation change, please send in a note to me in the GREEN folder and also another note for the bus driver. * PLEASE BE SURE TO HAVE YOUR CHILD DRESS FOR THE COLD WEATHER FOR RECESS! * Remember to check/send the GREEN take-home folder daily.
