On the 21st of July a second location of Virtual Art Residence will be opened. This small site will contain three Chalets [Chalet Bach, Chalet Morricone and Chalet Eisenga]. Virtual Art Residence #3 will travel throughout the Netherlands. This site will host artist from the city in which Virtual Art Residence #3 is located, invited by the people of the guest location. In this case Ramon de Nennie & Machteld van der Wijst, both visual artists and editors of the art-magazine decreet.

I live in an igloo tent, which is called Horn I. In December, I will do a performance somewhere on the isle of Walcheren. I will be storing stuff for this performance on the camp site.

I like making scores with type writers. Not because I consider old things good by definition (even though in the past everything was always better of course), but because the type writer’s action is both technological and final. The fact that I’m not very good at it and screw up all the time highlights this aspect (and makes the joy even greater).

“Coincidentally the images of the Virtual Art Residence show a great resemblance with the site in Germany where last month we spend a few days – the Eichhornchenweg [ Squirrel Street ]. In mythology, wasn’t the squirrel the messenger of the "ambassador"?” Realty is almost a copy of the virtual world. A fraction of a difference, sometimes only one syllable. When in art there is a place for the unicorn [ eenhoorn ] is there - consequently - also room for the squirrel [ eekhoorn ]?
