Vacation-Ready Itinerary
Whistler, British Columbia, Canada
3:00pm As you drive toward Whistler, stop off in Squamish at the Sea to Sky Gondola where you will enjoy some breathtaking mountain views. Squamish is also the perfect place to stock up on groceries for your week away from home.
4:00pm It’s time to settle into your vacation rental home! Head straight to your check-in location where you can ask our friendly staff any questions you have.
8:00pm Return to your home-away-from-home for an early night.
5:00pm Walk along the stroll, then head to the GLC Bar & Grill for a table on the patio where you can take in all the action of the bike park before having dinner.
Insider Tip: Order a serving of the gorgonzola potatoes – their famous waffle fries!
DAY ONE
DAY TWO8:00am Whip up an in-suite breakfast with all the fresh ingredients you picked up. Then start preparing sandwiches and salads for the day ahead.
9:30am Pack your cooler, grab some towels and games, and head to Lost Lake by walking along the Valley Trail.
Insider Tip: stop off at Mount Currie Coffee Company for arguably the best coffee in Whistler!
12:00pm After some sunbathing and soaking in the lake, enjoy your sandwiches and salads.
1:30pm Take a walk around the trails surrounding the lake. For the adventurous, head to Cross Country Connection to rent a bike and explore the extensive trail network.
4:30pm It’s time to pack everything up and start heading back to base camp.
Take the stress out of vacation planning with this ready-to-go guide to spending a week in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. Strike the perfect balance between downtime and
“go” time with our day-by-day itinerary, followed by a directory in the back.
Don’t forget to share your vacation photos using #vacationdifferently!
6:00pm Go to Dubh Linn Gate Irish Pub, where you can sit on the patio until the sun goes down, and then head inside to fill up on their hearty food.
Insider Tip: The Steak and Guinness Pie or Alberta Lamb Curry will not disappoint.
8:00pm As you head back “home”, stop for a dip in your vacation rental pool or hot tub, or settle in to a movie in your suite.
DAY THREE8:00am You’ve got a big day ahead, so you’ll want to get an early start. Prepare some healthy veggie egg wraps for breakfast, pack some mid-morning snacks and water, then get on the road toward Pemberton.
9:30am About a 60-minute drive from Whistler, you’ll stop at Joffre Lakes Provincial Park for a hike that’ll be well worth the effort.
Insider Tip: See our friends at Avis Car Rentals for any car rental needs.
12:00pm Upon arriving at the third and final lake, find yourself a spot to sit and admire the view. Enjoy your snacks, re-hydrate and take a few snaps.
1:30pm Start driving back towards Pemberton, and stop at the North Arm Farm – one of the most popular for berry picking and fresh produce.
3:00pm Not too far from the farm, you will arrive back to the town center of Pemberton where it’s almost mandatory to stop at Mile One Eating House.
Insider Tip: These are possibly the best burgers you’ve ever tasted. Pair with a Blue Buck beer, and enjoy the mountain views from the patio.
5:00pm It’s only about a 20-minute drive back to Whistler, where you can relax in your condo and prepare a delicious meal with all your newly acquired fresh ingredients. Enjoy a game night with the family as you reminisce on all the sights of the day.
DAY FOUR8:30am Enjoy a morning sleeping in, and then treat yourself to a healthy and wholesome breakfast. Prepare all of the fresh berries from yesterday, and pair with yogurt .
10:00am A trip to Whistler would not be complete without a paddle down the River of Golden Dreams! Head to Wayside Park and visit our friends at Whistler Eco Tours for kayak or canoe rentals, or to book a guided tour.
1:30pm After lunch, enjoy a round of golf or take flight over the nearby glaciers with Harbour Air Sea Planes - the views are incredible!
12:00pm End your journey at Green Lake, alongside the Nicklaus North Golf Course, where you can satisfy any craving at their restaurant Table Nineteen Eatery.
Insider Tip: Arguably Whistler’s best patio, you’ll want a seat outside!
3:30pm Make your way back to your vacation rental for some R&R – spend some time by the pool with a book or prepare a cheese platter and drinks to enjoy on the patio.
6:00pm For the most authentic sushi experience in Whistler, take yourselves to Sushi Village – if you’ve got a big enough group you get to sit in one of the booths - no shoes allowed!
Insider Tip: The beautiful roll and soft-shell crab karaage are to die for!
8:00pm Once the grandparents have taken the kids back to the rental, order a bottle of sake for the table. Then you’ll be ready to head to the Mallard Lounge in the Fairmont for some live music.
DAY FIVE8:30am It’s about time somebody else did the cooking at breakfast! Make your way to Elements Urban Tapas Parlour for a little indulgence.
Insider Tip: Do yourself a favor and order the stuffed French toast – delish!
10:00am Take a Bike Park 101 lesson with Whistler Blackcomb – where the experts will take you through all the beginner skills you need to blitz through the trails.
12:00pm Return your rental bike and equipment, and walk off the adrenaline as you return to your vacation rental. Whip up some sandwiches and smoothies with those fresh farm fruits to give you energy for the rest of your day.
1:30pm Take a small pack with water and some energy bars, and head up the Whistler Village Gondola to the top of the mountain. Here you have access to so many trails to explore. Take the Peak to Peak Gondola across to Blackcomb Mountain and look out for the cute marmots!
3:30pm After a day of adventure, you will probably want to rest. Take a nap back at your vacation rental or head to the Scandinave Spa for some hydrotherapy.
5:00pm For a pre-dinner snack, head to the Bearfoot Bistro and enjoy oysters and champagne or cocktails in the Champagne Bar. You could even saber your own bottle of bubbles in the underground Wine Cellar.
7:00pm Cook up a delicious dinner in the comfort of your vacation rental thanks to your fully-equipped kitchen.
DAY SIX8:45am After a quick breakfast of cereal, yogurt and fruit – hop on the Sunwolf shuttle to Squamish to start your white water rafting adventure!
9:30am The Elaho Whitewater Rafting Expedition will begin, powering through some of British Columbia’s most spectacular scenery. No experience required. Cliff jumping optional.
12:00pm You will stop at a secluded beach to rest and enjoy a delicious salmon BBQ lunch cooked by the talented Sunwolf chefs before wrestling some more rapids.
3:30pm At the end of the day, you will return back to the Sunwolf camp where you can enjoy a delicious snack from their very own Fergie’s Café, and collect your free photos of your adventure.
4:30pm The wonderful Sunwolf crew will return you back to Whistler where you can relax and rejuvenate before dinner.
6:00pm Enjoy the best margaritas in town and delicious Mexican fare at The Mexican Corner.
Insider Tip: Our favorite of the handcrafted margaritas is the Habanero – a bit of spice for an extra kick.
DAY SEVEN8:30am Unfortunately all good things must come to an end. But not before indulging some more! Do a big fry up with all of your remaining ingredients and enjoy juice and coffee for a long relaxing breakfast. Take in the mountain views!
10:00am It is time to check out of your vacation rental home – our friendly guest service staff will store your bags away until it is time for you to drive out of town.
10:30am Take a walk down the village stroll towards the Olympic Plaza. Enjoy some decadent treats at Purebread.
12:00pm Make your way back up the stroll, maybe doing a little shopping along the way. It’s time to head out of Whistler – hopefully you’ll be back very soon!
