Bhopal: RajkumarMalviya has been wel-comed and felicitated byresearch scholars ofMaulana Azad NationalInstitute of Technology on27th September 2021. Forthe last two years, Rajku-mar Malviya, leader of re-search scholars, alongwith other scholars were trying to get HRAamount. On the intervention of Bhopal MPPragya Singh, an order has been issued by theMANIT Management on 22nd September 2021regarding grant of HRA amount to PhD re-searchers of 2019, 2020 and 2021 batches. Theamount of previous years will be given to schol-ars in the form of arrears.

Research scholars have invited MP PragyaSingh for “Direct Interaction of MP with MANITResearch Scholars” and for her felicitation cere-mony. MANIT Research Scholars are facing re-search-related and other economic difficultiesdue to the Covid 19 epidemic. On the contrary,the MANIT management is harassing PhDscholars mentally as well as financially by slap-ping unnecessary rules. PhD scholars have beendemanding MANIT management that PhDshould be awarded based on research paperpublication in Scopes Indexed Research Journalremoving the obligation of paper publication inSCI/SCIE Research Journal of Q1, Q2 Standard.Unnecessary conditions of obtaining permis-sion from MANIT management should also beremoved before putting the paper in the re-search journal. They also demand that as pergovernment of India rules, SC/ST PhD scholarsshould be given a 100% discount on tuition fees.Research resources and facilities should be in-creased. The expenditure incurred on the exper-

imental setup, researchpublication, patentand other research-re-lated needs during theresearch should be metby the MANIT man-agement.

Research workhas been ham-pered due to thelack of resourcesand proper guid-ance because ofbeing away fromthe campus. Re-search scholarsare going througha lot of mentalstress due to un-necessary rules ofMANIT manage-ment. Manyscholars havegone into a suici-dal phase.

MANIT Director refuses to meet, researchscholars to approach MP Pragya

Chronicle Reporter, BhopalOn the occasion of Gandhi Jayan-ti, Madhya Pradesh Water andLand Management Institute (Wal-mi) will organize an interestingand innovative programme‘Prakriti Mange Swaraj’ at the Eco-logical Oxygen Park and Adven-ture Sports campus of the institutefrom 10 am.

The purpose of the programmeis to educate the general publicabout nature conservation andpromotion and to increase com-mon understanding and to givethe message of environmentalprotection while establishing har-mony with nature.

On this occasion, cultural pro-grammes, musical chairs will be

organized while handmade craft,food stalls will be on display. Par-ticipants will be introduced tomore than 300 types of flora andfauna, walmi forest, water conser-vation and Ridge to Valley con-cept.

To make the event special andinteresting, activities like TrackingActivity, Camel and Horse Riding,Nature Hunt and Indoor Gameslike Table Tennis, Carrom, Dot andChess will also be organized.

Those interested to participatein all these activities can registeron Walmi’s website www.mpwal-mi.org, the registration fee is Rs100 per person, along with thearrangement of refreshments forthe participants will be done bythe institute.

‘Prakriti Mange Swaraj’ programmein Walmi on Gandhi Jayanti

Indore: Sapna Bar, which came intothe limelight after the deaths due toconsumption of poisonous liquor,was demolished on Monday. Addi-tional Commissioner of MunicipalCorporation said that Sapna Bar wasconstructed illegally. Apart fromthis, seven constructions built onthe land of Shri Hatkeshwar Ma-hadev Temple in Piplyarao areaworth about Rs 5 crore have alsobeen demolished. The colonizer hadoccupied the land here.

As part of the campaign againstthe land mafia in the state, the teamof district administration, policeand municipal corporation tookjoint action in the Marimata area onMonday. The information about theaction was given to the police in thenight itself.

Recently, the names ofHemu and Chintu Thakur were re-vealed in the case of firing on liquorbusinessman Arjun, both of themare believed to be close to Vikas.Vikas had also built the colony inShivkanth Colony in partnershipwith Hemu and Chintu.

7 constructions built ontemple land demolished

The corporation took action onthe complaint regarding illegal sale ofplots by Mithun and Kumawat alongwith other partners on the land ofShri Gutkeshwar Mahadev temple inPipliya Rao of Bhawarkua area. Sevenconstructions have been removedfrom here. Shashikant Kanakane, Ad-ditional SP, said Sapna Bar was closedafter the death of 6 people due toconsumption of spurious alcohol.Devendra Singh, Additional Commis-sioner, IMC said Sapna Bar was con-structed illegally. Many irregularitieshave been found in this.

Bhopal: Fulfilling his promise, Chief MinisterShri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will give an in-centive of Rs 31 lakh to each of the players ofIndian women’s hockey team of TokyoOlympics 2020 on September 28. Presidentof Hockey Federation of India and IndianOlympic Association, Shri Narendra DhruvBatra, will be the special guest in this pro-gramme to be organized at Minto Hall onTuesday at 12 noon under the chairmanshipof Sports Minister Smt. Yashodhara RajeScindia. Apart from this, Hockey India Presi-dent Shri Gyanendrao Nigombam, HockeyIndia CEO Sushri Elina Norman, SecretaryShri Rajendra Singh and Women’s Hockeyteam coach Shri Tushar Khandekar will alsobe specially present.

Sports Minister Smt. Yashodhara RajeScindia informed that Chief Minister ShriShivraj Singh Chouhan is always ready to ho-

nour and encourage sports and sportsper-sons. The spectacular historic performanceof the women’s hockey team in the TokyoOlympics 2020 won the hearts of the nationand the world. As always, Chief Minister ShriChouhan was also impressed by the perfor-mance of the players. When the Indianwomen’s hockey team remained fourth inthe Tokyo Olympics despite a stellar perfor-mance, Shri Chouhan had announced tohonor them.

Sports Minister Smt. Scindia said that ithas always been a matter of pride for thestate tat seven players, who were trained inthe Madhya Pradesh State Women’s HockeyAcademy, Gwalior in the 2016 Rio Olympics,had left their mark in the Indian hockey teamon the world stage. Five players coachedfrom Madhya Pradesh State Women’s HockeyAcademy also represented the country in the

2020 Tokyo Olympics. They include SushilaChanu, Reena Khokar, Monica, Rajni andVandana Kataria.

Smt. Scindia informed that in order to re-vive hockey in the state, the Madhya Pradeshgovernment had established the StateWomen’s Hockey Academy in Gwalior in theyear 2006 where selected players of thecountry are coached. This modern academywith world class all facilities has given inter-national platform to many players.

this, there are about 19 lakh con-sumers whose meters installedhere will now be read by QR code.Not only will this save time, therewill be transparency along withspeeding up the work. The specialthing is that in such a situationthe meter reading will be done injust 8 seconds.

Prepaid system in smart meters

Now another initiative is beingtaken in this series. Under this,wherever new smart meters are tobe installed, there will also be aprepaid system in it. That is con-sumers can also choose this op-tion. State Energy Secretary San-jay Dubey, who came to Indorerecently, has asked the officers towork on this.

Chronicle Reporter, BhopalThe water level of Upper Lake,which is called the life line ofBhopal, has reached 1666.45 feet.The level has increased due to 2-3days of rain. The lake is now only0.41 feet short of full tank level(FTL). The gates of BhadbhadaDam will open as soon as it reachesFTL and water will increase inKaliasot Dam.

On the other hand, Kolar Dam is10.5 feet short of FTL. Due to therain in Sehore district, the waterlevel is increasing continuously.

The full tank level of Upper Lakeis 1666.86 feet. It has 365 sq kmcatchments area. Out of this, 225 sqkm is filled by the Kolans River.Therefore, whenever there is goodrain in Sehore district, water comesin the Kolans river, which reachesUpper Lake.

For the past few days, it has beenraining in Sehore district and thecatchment area of the lake. Due tothis there is an influx of water intothe lake.

Kaliasot Dam 9 feet short of FTL

There are a total of 11 gates in

Bhadbhada Dam, which open afterfilling up of Upper Lake. Its waterreaches Kaliasot Dam.

The water holding capacity ofKaliasot Dam is 1659 feet. At pre-sent it has 1649.93 feet of water.That is, about 9 feet more water isneeded. There are 13 gates of Kalia-sot Dam, which will open after fullfilling.

Kolar dam needs 10.5feet of water

To reach the full tank level, theKolar Dam needs about 10 and ahalf feet more water. Its total waterholding capacity is 1516 feet and sofar 1505.41 feet of water has beenstored in it. Kolar Dam in-chargeHarsha Jainwal told that after therain in the catchment area, water iscoming into the dam.
