Through the encouragementof the new schools division

superintendent of Sarangani Dr.Allan G. Farnazo, the Boys

Scout of the Philippines (BSP)

initiated the 3-day BasicLeadership Training at Glan-

Padidu National High School

 back to back the Girls Scout of the Philippines (GSP) at Glan

Central Elementary School on

July 22-24, 2011.The teachers are

enhanced on the various skills

and values centered activities

focusing on a scouting way of motivating the students.

The songs and chants are

the vital parts of the training for the teachers will teach it during

hiking and doing the camp fire

ceremony.

Among the speakers arethe City Police Inspector of 

General Santos SPO Train andBrother Loy Gonzales who

imparted most on the “Laging

Handa” slogan of the Boys

Scout of the Philippines thatrelates to the preparedness of an

individual in times of adversities

and calamities.The training is

culminated with the camp fire inwhich participants show their talents.

The Bukidnon State

University (BSU) conducted theweb development training to the

recepients high school in

different regions in Mindanao onSeptember 5-9, 2011.

This five-day seminar and workshop aimed to establish

a web page which BSU cateredthe hosting.

Among the recepients

schools are Alabel NHS,Federico Yap NHS, Buayan

 NHS, Glan-Padidu NHS,

Malapatan NHS, Banate NHS,and Malandag NHS.

The participants are trained to

use the open source webapplication Joomla which iscompatible to Linux Edubuntu

and capable of building

websites.One of the trainers,

Dante Victoria, stressed the

importance of internet accessand publishing the output for the

school can streamline the local

content to worldwide web

 perspective.

Unit III prevails 2011

Intramural Meet

The Unit III garnered thetotal score of 110 points which

declared the over-all champion

of the two days intramurals onSeptember 2-3, 2011.

One the highlights is the

search for Mr. & Ms. Intrams in

which Mr. Abayon and Ms.Abaya of second year Darwin

held the title.

The winning players will

represent Glan-Padidu NHS to

GISAAM on November 2011.
