Spiritual Communion Prayer My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father’s knowledge. Even all the hairs of your head are counted. So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. MT 10:29-31

Happy Father's Day!!
Happy Father's Day! Many thanks to all our devoted fathers who lead and guide their fami-lies by teaching and exam-
ple. The ultimate goal of any vocation is to make our way to Christ, and through Him to God our Father. We pray that in their fatherly vocation they always stay focused on true good for their families, which is the salvation of the souls entrusted to their care. Again, Happy Father’s Day!
Our St. Pius X Community, Pandemic Protocols and Moving Forward
Many have asked how our parish com-munity is doing, and as I’ve mentioned in the past months we are not in an acute crisis, but the pandemic has defi-nitely changed things, just as it has for you and your families. In that light, St. Pius X will also have to make some changes and adjustments in the coming year as we face some challenges posed by the pandemic. I plan to visit with you all briefly about them at all the Masses this Sunday. One thing that has not changed is our plan to address the parking lot situation. After consulta-tion with the Finance Council and Par-ish Council, we believed it was in the
best interest to move forward with the project, albeit a month or two later than we had hoped. Construction has be-gun, but will become more visible in the coming weeks. We will visit about that as well this weekend. I certainly think that in the end the future of our community is bright and have a hope-ful outlook that this experience will bring us all closer to Jesus.
Next week, we should receive notifica-tion from our governor and Bishop about entering Phase III in our “return to normal operations,” which would go into effect June 26, 2020. Regardless of whether we move to Phase III or re-main in Phase II, we will begin chang-ing our Mass procedures back to nor-mal. We will have lectors, sacristans and ministers of Holy Communion. We will have Communion lines. Seat-ing will not be limited to certain areas of the church (hoping that all have the common sense not to crowd others). Our capacity limits are generous, so self-seating should not be a problem. We hope that these things will give us com-fort in being able to worship Our Lord the way which we are accustomed. We are also making plans for the use of our facilities by service and other groups. Of course, we are also making plans for our children’s return to school in the Fall. On all these things, there will be some changes, but we will plan for the best case scenario: a return to our nor-
mal operations and service to our church parish and community. Let’s continue to pray that these things come to fruition!
Fr. Pitre’s departure Next weekend will be Fr. Pitre’s last weekend with us. We won’t be able to have a farewell reception for him, but please make plans to say farewell to him and offer your prayers for him in his next endeavor. He will be in the Gathering Area after all Masses next weekend.
Needless to say (but I will) Fr. Pitre has been a blessing to our community. He has been a devoted servant to our par-ish community, serving both young and old and everyone in between. He will certainly be missed, but we wish him the best in his new assignment as Associate Pastor at St. Joseph’s in Rayne. For those of you who might need, Fr. Pitre’s new contact infor-mation will be:
Fr. Ben Pitre St. Joseph Catholic Church 400 South Adams Ave. Rayne, La 70578 337-334-2193
Good luck Fr. Pitre!!

Please help to welcome Dylan Allen, St. Pius X’s summer seminarian, and see below for a personal
message from him: My name is Dylan Allen, and I am a seminarian for the Diocese of Lafayette. I will begin my senior year at St. Jo-seph’s Seminary College in Covington, Louisiana, in the fall, and this will be my 3rd year in seminary. I am original-ly from Mandeville, Louisiana, and graduated from Fontainebleau High School in 2016. After graduation, I attended UL right here in Lafayette for 2 years before entering the seminary in August 2018. Here’s a little bit about myself. I am the youngest of 6, and my sib-lings live across the country from Nevada to Virginia and all in between. I enjoy travelling, hiking, playing tennis, and watching college baseball just to name a few hobbies. I am also an extrovert and love being around people! So, I look forward to being with you here at St. Pius X for the sum-mer, and if there’s anything I can do for you, feel free to reach out to me! Thank you and God bless! - Dylan Allen

First Prayer to Our Lady O Mary, You shine continuously on our journey as a
sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick. At the foot of the cross, You partici-
pated in Jesus’ pain with steadfast faith. You, “Salvation of the Roman people,“ know what we need. We are cer-tain that you will provide, so that as you did at Cana of
Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform our-selves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us. He who took our sufferings upon himself and bore our sorrows, to bring us through the cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protec-tion, O Holy Mother of God; Do not despise our pleas - we, who are put to the test -and deliver us from every
danger, O Glorious and Blessed Virgin.
If you’d like to continue your generosity through your offertory giving, you may do so by using your envelopes, which can be mailed or dropped off in the night Drop Box out-side of our office. Or, online through our website at https://stpiusxchurch.org/online-giving.
