Basic Steps
Set up a new account (recommended) or use your regular account. Note: if you are creating a second account, you must provide a different email.
Try for the shortest handle possible.
Fill out your bio and add a portrait, avatar, or image.
Follow us first, then you’ll be able to follow your classmates.
Search for our authors and/or pages dedicated to them.
How to Use Twitter for Class
Tweet your thoughts about the reading as you read. Live-tweet our film marathon.
Add this hashtag to every tweet: #h161
RT (Retweet) others’ tweets that you like or want to respond to publicly.
Publicly direct messages to people using the “@username” construction.
#Humes #Fail
As you can see, the hashtag #humes is already being used.
Use #____ to connect to others
who are talking about #____
Note the “View Conversation” feature at the end of some of the tweets. This will open up the chain of messages that this tweet is in conversation with.
