The NHL categorizes NHL Hockey games as either a “National” game or a “Regional” game.

A “National” game is a game that can be watched by anyone, in any location in the country, without blackouts.

A “Regional” game is a game that can only be watched by those located in a team’s broadcast region. All other regions in the country must blackout this Regional game.

The NHL organization has determined Thunder Bay and Fort Frances are in the Toronto Maple Leafs and Winnipeg Jets region. Regional games allocated to these teams will not be blacked out on Tbaytel TV or any other TV provider in Thunder Bay and Fort Frances. Regional games for other Canadian teams must be blacked out on Tbaytel TV as well as other TV providers in the region.
