Come vote to approve our Slate of Plays for the 2013-2014 Season

    November, 2013

A Dickens Christmas Carol: A Traveling Travesty in Two Tumultuous Acts by Mark Landon Smith

This is a farce adaptation of the classical tale. From the bonny shores of England comes the Styckes-Upon-Thump Reperto

Theatre Company, a stuffy old travelling troupe embarking on their fifteenth annual farewell tour of the Dickens' tale. Tcompany includes Sir Selsdon Piddock, the consummate actor, in the role of Ebenezer Scrooge, with Mrs. Bettina Salisbu

Dame Rowena Middleton-Lewis, Mrs. Cordelia ffoliet-ffolkes ffortescue Woods, Teddy Shub and Elyot Crummels in multip

supporting roles. Sweet Cynthia Imbry, the general understudy. When the company's diva feigns illness, certain the produ

tion will be canceled, this merry troupe of over the hill and upstart actors carry on without her much to her shock and rag

Roles are shuffled and the sweet understudy Cynthi, suddenly finds herself on stage knowing only one line of dialogue. S

has written her part in and on almost everything, including the Christmas pudding! Midway through the doomed perfor

ance, the diva rushes in to reclaim her role. Total mayhem ensues as the company scrambles to keep the show going wh

    everything goes hilariously wrong.

January, 2014Jerry Finnegans Sister by Jack Neary

Brian Dowd has spent the last 10 years of his life wrestling with an unrequited "something" for his best friend's sister, w

happens to live next door. But each and every time he's spoken with Beth Finnegan for more than 30 seconds, It's ended

with his foot planted firmly in his mouth. Now, Brian's time is about to run out. With recent news that Jerry Finnegan's sis

is getting married, the time has come for him to put up or shut up. Like John Wayne in The High and the Mighty, Brian h

reached the point of no return. What's he got to lose--except the love of his life! In a series of fast-moving, hysterically fun

scenes, two actors play Brian and Beth from ages seven and six, through their adolescent and teen years, right up to t

moment the play is happening, when they're both in their early 20s. Does Brian confess his feelings and win Be

    or.

    March, 2014

12 Angry Jurors by Reginald Rose

A 19-year-old stands trial for the fatal stabbing of his father. Their decision could lead to the boys death.

doesnt stand a chance , mutters the guard as he leads the jurors to the bleak jury room. It looks like an ope

and-shut case until one of the jurors refuses to vote guilty without discussing the facts which begins an eye ope

ing experience. The discussion turns into heated arguments where jurors expose their personal prejudice, bi

and weaknesses that have clouded their judgment. Tempers get short but evidence is re-examined before a fin

    verdict is reached.

A Grand Night for Singing: A Musical Review by Rodgers & Hammerstein

A romantic musical journey from young infatuation to the touching and funny complexities of commitment and marriage, t

joys of parenthood, and the power of enduring love. Features over 30 songs from the beloved Rodgers & Hammerstein mu

cals such as Carousel, Oklahoma, The King and I, South Pacific, Cinderella, and The Sound of Music, as well as lesser-kno

works such as Allegro, Me and Juliet, State Fair, Pipe Dream, and Flower Drum Song. Rodgers & Hammerstein signatu

songs like OH, What a Beautiful Mornin to Some Enchanted Evening are placed in new contexts in a way that celebra

the colossal appeal of their legendary songbook.
