Typology Studies

The Longhouses are available in three sizes, to create variation and opportunity. Select from a series of pre designed residential units and add your work bays as required. Alternatively purchase a shell-only bay(s) for your own fit out and design. The longhouse simple design and construction allows for a wide variety of occupation.

A2 Creative Pod Home & Office

A product designer and computer programmer buy a two bay unit and build themselves their own pod kitchen, living room, study and bedroom in the full height space as a generous live work space.

A5 Co-living

Designed for two couples to share a large communal ground floor but have a dedicated bedroom, study and bathroom for each cou-ple. This allows couples to have a more generous social space at lower cost to half the unit size by themselves.

A6 Family

This three bed house is designed for a young growing family. The ground floor allows for the kitchen, dinning and living space to be open plan or to separate key functions with screens. The bedroom floor also includes a small external shared garden area, set into the roof.

B2 Two-Bed

A young couple buy the compact 2 bed house with 2 bays of work space attached from which to run their growing internet business

B4 Inter Generational Living

This large 3 bay unit is designed with a ground floor flat with DDA accessibility and bathroom. The flat above can be rented out or provide accommodation for a carer / family member. We believe the site should cater for a mixed age group.

C1 One-Bed Studio

This 1 bed unit in the smaller footprint building offers generous ceiling heights and offers playful use of the roof space to form a small office area above the bedroom and bathroom accommoda-
