DG Tilak’s remarks explained and stressed his theme as DG of “Service Without Boundaries”. He out-lined his goals for the coming year including enhancing the district and club communications and public relations by encouraging everyone to promote our club’s involve-
ment in local and international projects. He urged continued contributions to the Rotary Foundation to further the foundation’s humani-tarian efforts at home and throughout the world
and to inspire new members to join our club and to become active in our causes.
NATIONAL NIGHT OUT
This Tuesday, August 7th, the Rockaway Rotary Club will participate in the annual “National Night Out” in Rockaway Borough. This nationwide crime and drug prevention event is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch

CAMP MERRY HEART CLUB SERVICE DAY
This Wednesday, August 8th, District 7470 will participate in Service Club Day at Camp Merry Heart. The clubs of District 7470 have been supporting Camp Merry Heart since 1952, providing the upkeep of build-ings, donating camper scholarships and much need-ed supplies. Rotary is an important component of
the camp’s success. The day will begin with a carnival for the campers and Rotary members from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. Jim Stu-art and the Rockaway Assembly of God Church are allowing us to utilize their popcorn machine for the carnival. Camp Mer-
ry Heart is located at 21 O’Brien Road in Hackettstown, NJ.
