What is Catholic Schools Week? Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. It starts the last Sun-day in January and runs all week, which is January 26 - February 1. Information for Catholic Schools week has been sent home with students. The theme for the National Catholic Schools Week 2020 is “Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed.” Schools typically observe the annual celebration week with Masses, open houses and other activities for students, families, parishioners and community members. Through these events, schools focus on the value Catholic education provides to young people and its contributions to our church, our communi-ties and our nation. **ATTENTION** Our annual brunch during Catholic Schools Week has been moved to SUNDAY, MARCH 15th due to a scheduling conflict with the St. Rose Hall.
St. Rose School Alumni Scholarship: One $300 Scholarship is available to a high school senior who is also an alumni of St. Rose School. Application forms are available through the Crofton High School Guidance Counselor or from St. Rose School office. Forms due by March 1, 2020.
Penny & a Prayer for Vocations: The Omaha Archdiocese Council of Catholic Women (OACCW) began the “Penny and a Prayer for Vocations” project in 1964. Council women are asked to offer a prayer a day for vocations and to include a donation of a pen-ny a week. The money is then collected and presented to the Archbishop at the OACCW annual convention. Each year, this fund has grown and has benefitted the Seminarian Endowment Fund and accounted for millions of pray-ers for vocations in our Archdiocese alone. Please join the St. Rose Ladies Guild in this effort. Pennies for Priests, Nickels for Nuns, and Dimes for Deacons jars are in both the upper and lower grade buildings and will be until May.

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS – Please contribute your time and talent to our Auction, through service dona-tions, or by offering to babysit for a friend or relative for free, so they can attend the Unity Supper this year. Con-tact Curt Arens for ideas.
VOLUNTEERS – Interested in adventure and fun? Consider helping out with the Unity Supper. You will find that it is not work at all, but a fun experience you’ll want to do again and again. We still need volunteers for the auctions, set up, games, clean-up and calling. Give back to the parish and school that have given you so much. Con-tact Pam Goeden ASAP (402-388-4953).
UNABLE TO ATTEND THIS YEAR? – Even if you are unable to attend the event this year, consider pur-chasing tickets and giving them to a young family or oth-ers who maybe cannot afford to go or who have never attended. The more the merrier! Also, if there are auction items you’d like to bid on by proxy, contact Pam Goeden (402-388-4953)
SILENT AUCTION – Bidding will begin at 3:30 p.m., so feel free to place your bids before you attend 5 p.m. Mass. Early bidders go into a drawing to win Unity Sup-per bucks to spend that night. Lots of people enjoy this auction because you can enjoy a more leisurely pace of bidding.
