Many techniques for testing
listening can also be used for
testing reading. But not all the
techniques for testing reading can
be used for listening.
1. Selection
Example:
1. Listen to the text, and choose which person
the man is describing.
2. Listen to the text, and choose the route they
take on the map.
3. Read the letter, and choose which of the
four letters is the best answer to it.
4. Read the information about the family, and
choose which holiday best suits them.

Example:

4. Transforming the same idea
into a different form of
expression.
Example:
You are having a party and you are sending out the printed invitation below.
