General Terrier Traits(This doesn’t mean it applies to all)
• Most terrier breeds were developed to
hunt or kill some type of vermin (a

Fox Terrier

• The come in a smooth & a rough coat
that is normally white with colored

American Staffordshire• Since used in dog fighting this breed had to be docile towards humans to be controlled in the middle of a fight so they are very powerful, loyal, & trainable.trainable.
• 1980’s brought on breed specific bans & negative media attention.
• They are aggressive & fearless when challenged! But very devoted to their owners.
Bull Terrier

• Deafness is a trait found in Bull Terriers
with a white coat color.
• They have triangle shaped eyes.
Bull Terrier• At one time the Bull Terrier was the
“Ultimate Pit Fighter”. It was not until
dog fighting was banned that the white

in any color except white. This coat needs
to be ‘stripped’ twice a year.

medium in length & has a black nose.
Westie• This is a spunky breed of terrier that are
considered to be very happy & can be
some-what needy in their demands for

Miniature Schnauzer
