Pvt School Principal booked forusing derogatory remarks

JAMMU, Aug 11: Domanapolice registered a case againstPrincipal of a private school forusing derogatory remarks against ateacher.

As per police sources, the man-agement of MHAC Nagbani alongwith its Principal Alok Betab usedderogatory remarks against afemale teacher on social sites andalso made her name public duringa press conference, after the saidteacher filed a sexual harassmentcase against the Principal.

The female teacher knockedthe doors of the court for actionagainst the management of theMHAC Nagbani and it's Principal

for making her name public in asexual harassment case.

On the directions of the Court,a case under FIR Number 251/16has been registered at Domanapolice station against the PrincipalAlok Betab.

Further investigation into thecase is going on.

It is to mention that, aroundtwo months back, a female teacherof MHAC Nagbani had filed a sex-ual harassment case against AlokBetab with Domana police station.

When contacted, SHODomana, Inspector RajeshwarSlathia confirmed the registrationof FIR against the PrincipalMHAC Nagbani.

Inter-school painting competition heldExcelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, Aug 11: Army Public School (APS) Akhnoor organ-ized inter-school painting competition.

In the competition, students from host school, Sainik SchoolNagrota, APS Rakh Muthi, KV No. 1 Akhnoor, KV No 2 Akhnoor, JNVGharota, KC International, GD Goenka, DCM Akhnoor and DAVAkhnoor took part.

On the occasion, Col KD Koudhal, Principal, Sainik School,Nagrota was the chief guest, while Satish Sharma, Principal DAVAkhnoor and Bhai Rattan Singh from Braham Kumar Ashram wereguests of honour.

Principal of the host school KCS Mehta presented the welcomeaddress.

In the competition, Anirudh Sodhy from DAV Akhnoor, SouravSharma from DCM Akhnoor, Surbhi Sharma from KV No 1 Akhnoor,Aman Kr from Sainik School Nagrota, Parteek from JNV Gharota,Sakshi Devi from KV No 1, Jasbir Kundal from JNV Gharota, TrawngStazin from Sainik School Nagrota, Ritika Kumari from DAV Akhnoorand Siya Arora from KC International School clinched top 10 positionsrespectively.

26 laid-off Indians return from Saudi ArabiaNEW DELHI, Aug 11:

The first batch of 26 Indianworkers, who had lost their jobs inSaudi Arabia, arrived here todayafter the country issued them exitvisas.

Saudi Arabia had agreed toswiftly resolve plight of thousandsof laid-off Indian workers includ-ing providing them free passage toreturn to India during visit ofMinister of State for ExternalAffairs V K Singh to the Gulfnation last week.

"Minister of State, V K Singh

has had very productive meetingswith the Labour minister and othersenior ministers during his visit tothe Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

"As a result of these meetings,the process of lodging claims andfor those wishing to come back toIndia has already started," ExternalAffairs Ministry SpokespersonVikas Swarup said.

He said India appreciated the"magnanimous view" taken by theSaudi Arabian Government ofgranting exit visas expeditiouslyand agreeing to bear the expensesfor the travel of the workers. (PTI)

The theme designed for thefancy dress competition wasbollywood for class-I and car-toon characters for class-II.

Public School (DPS) Udhampurorganized a story telling work-shop for its teachers.

The main aim of the work-shop was to help teachers in

order to revive the art of storytelling of all subjects amongstthe students. Story telling is an

important art which canenchant the listeners ofall ages.

This magnificentworkshop was conductedby Shalini Tayal who is acorporate trainer as wellas a professional storyteller. She conductedmany interesting activi-ties amongst teachers sothat they can learn vari-ous techniques of storytelling.
