John is a great teacher, he gets the class thinking, and the
ability to have a smaller class allows for easier
discussion/debate. I think the course material is extremely
fascinating and I am excited to see where our "big ideas" lead to
by the end of the semester. (Student in PSCI 2028) Faculty

I like that the assignments are broad and we have to set goals
for ourselves. I am learning good presentation skills that many,
including those at the graduate level, lack. We are learning about
sustainable practices and innovative ideas that are coming about in
todays society. - Survey responses November, 2011

The discussions that we have in class are interesting and fun.
The professor is awesome because he is passionate and knowledgeable
about the topics. John is a great teacher, he gets the class
thinking, and the ability to have a smaller class allows for easier
discussion/debate. I think the course material is extremely
fascinating and I am excited to see where our "big ideas" lead to
by the end of the semester. I am learning how to act as an
entrepreneur
