Excellence in Process Safety Management Training: “How to Apply the Practical Aspects of Process Safety to your Project”27–28 MARCH (immediately after the Gulf Safety Forum 2019)
These are challenging times for the oil and petrochemical industry asoperating margins are reduced, and there is pressure to ensure that allmanufacturing contributions are optimised. This often leads topressure to cut costs and the maintenance department is oftentargeted because it is an area of significant expenditure, both in normaland turnaround maintenance. However, it is important to understandthat reliability and maintenance are inter-dependent; organisationsspend money on maintenance and this expenditure delivers value byensuring the integrity, reliability and availability of the plant to operate. The challenge is to optimise the overall contribution so that the cost ofmaintenance and the value it delivers are properly understood andmanaged. It is important to recognise that the concepts of reliability gobeyond the assets to the organisation, it’s culture and its employees.Assets cannot be reliable unless they are managed by organisationsthat have reliable processes and reliable employees.
Benefits of Attending:Delegates will gain insights into the practicesand methodologies that are applied byorganisations that have industry leading RAMperformance and will be equipped to return totheir own organisations and define, deliver andmonitor actions to deliver valuableimprovements. Additionally, delegates willlearn about the culture that exits in leadingorganisations, and will be able to take positivesteps to develop their own companies towardsimproved organisation and asset reliability.
