Learn how to work with presenters to develop tailored experiences especially for their community. Circa and Cairns Regional Council discuss fresh ways to develop long-term relationships with presenters beyond promoting individual productions.

The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games will provide opportunities for artists and producers to be involved in the arts and cultural program on the Gold Coast and throughout Queensland. Hear from the Creative Lead team about how to be involved or book some individual time to privately discuss your big idea.
DROP IN SESSION - ARTS QUEENSLAND & CREATIVE PARTNERSHIPS AUSTRALIA 2PM – 3:30PM
A drop in session to hear everything you need to know about seeking support from Arts Queensland and Creative Partnerships Australia. If you’re looking for advice this is a great opportunity to ask questions directly to representatives from each organisation and find out what funding and support opportunities are available.
QUEENSLAND PRODUCERS ON THE NATIONAL STAGE 4:30PM – 5:30PM
Queensland producers are creating exceptional work but often struggle to crack the national touring scene. A panel of national touring heavyweights talk about their own national touring strategies and discuss the challenges and opportunities for Queensland producers. With Rick Heath, Australian Performing Arts Centres Association (APACA); Chris Bendall, Critical Stages and Christine Johnstone, Queensland Theatre Company.
Conversation CirclesLooking for someone to sit with at lunch? Consider joining one of the meal-time Conversation Circles. Hear about exciting new projects, companies and opportunities for producers and presenters alike. Conversations will take place on the northern end of the Panorama Suite Balcony.

The Farm is Gold Coast’s first professional dance theatre company and have been making waves around Australia since launching in 2014. They are a collective of dance and theatre artists committed to collaboration and great art. Come get to know the company and find out more about their work and touring plans.
LUNCH - CONVERSATION CIRCLE: CABARET IN REGIONAL COMMUNITIES 1PM – 1:40PM
Cabaret is very popular across Queensland because of the great atmosphere it offers to audiences while watching top-notch performances. WIV Presents is touring a number of acclaimed cabarets to regional Queensland and is also looking to work with regional communities to support local performers to develop their skills within the genre. The Creating Cabaret program not only taps into the talents that exist within communities, but also works with that community to develop a range of skills that leave a lasting legacy.
AFTERNOON TEA - CONVERSATION CIRCLE: METRO ARTS 3:30PM – 4PM
The New ERA project is a bold new initiative from Metro Arts piloted in 2015. It supports cultural champions in regional Queensland communities to engage local audiences with new contemporary performance as it tours through the state. The feedback is in and the plans for next year are underway. Join the circle to hear more about the project and find out how to be involved in its next evolution.
