¡Felices vacaciones!
Para el profesor

Good evening. Here’s this weekend’s weather forecast forsome cities around the United States.
New York City will be hot this weekend. Temperatures will be unusually high for this time of year.
Get your T-shirts, shorts and sun-hats out of the closet because you’re going to need them until Sunday.Remember to drink plenty of water and don’t stay in thesun for too long.
A cool breeze from the Pacific Ocean will hit the SanFrancisco area. Weather conditions will be pleasant during the day but much colder in the evenings. Dress
in layers; T-shirts under a sweater and a jacket for theevenings will be the best choice if you’re going to be out for many hours. But don’t worry, it won’t rain beforeTuesday.
If you’re in Chicago and planning to be outdoors this weekend, plan again. Heavy rainstorms will begin byearly morning, so make sure you take your umbrellaand raincoat with you for the next few days.

Hello listeners,
You’re listening to Radio Rainforest, somewhere in the
Amazon. On today’s programme, we’re going to tell youabout some of the strangest endangered animals in the world’s rainforests.
The first animal is a kind of monkey called an aye-aye.It lives in trees in the rainforests of Madagascar, anisland east of Africa. It’s got one long finger and giant eyes. It uses its finger to pull small insects out of trees.
Another strange animal is the Azteca ant. It lives in the Amazon rainforest, on one tree. It’s got everything it needs in the tree – food, water and a home. It protectsthe tree and attacks vines when they try to climb ontothe tree.
The last animal is called an antbird. There are morethan 200 kinds of antbirds and many of them areendangered. They live in the rainforests of Central America and the Amazon. They follow groups of armyants. The ants frighten insects and the antbirds eat theinsects when they try to escape.
That’s all for today. I hope youv’e enjoyed theprogramme. Tune in for our next programme.

Bram Stoker was born in 1847 in Ireland. While he wasgrowing up, his mother told him a lot of horror stories. In 1878, Stoker went to England. While he was living inEngland, Stoker met his wife, Florence. He also began writing his own stories. Dracula was his most famousstory.
While Stoker was writing the book, Dracula , he found an
article about vampire bats. Vampire bats bite animals while they are sleeping. That gave Stoker an idea; in thebook, Count Dracula changed into a bat and flewoutside his victim’s window.
