IN this week’s algorithmic exploration, the 3 variations were done in exploring whether an additional point could be made to create a polygon floor plan (Fig 2) and to explore the various building form it can achieve.

IN this week’s algorithmic exploration, we explored the random tool on varying surfaces to create interesting outcomes. In the following images were done playing with the kind of surface the program could map onto.

IN this week’s algorithmic exploration, the task given was to replicate the RMIT building facade with cull tool to create patterns. In the following images, this was extended to exploring different panel patterns and the type of surfaces.

IN this week, exploration was done mainly via the generation of matrix in exploring the constraints and advantages of our established definition.

IN this week’s algorithmic exploration, the task given was to explore attractor points. The follow series explored the various surfaces it could be applied on and the changing of the parameters in creating more organic form

IN this week’s algorithmic exploration, the task given was to calculate the potential solar energy received on panels. However it seems that it was unable to produce one definitive result and gave a list of items indicating the amount of solar energy receiving on individual panels. Additionally I further explored the other possibilities of the established waffle definition but was unable to resolve the direction in which the planes where the section would cut. However the result was interesting but inconceivable in real fabrication.

IN this week, exploration was done mainly to further develop the failed established definition of the waffle grid structure where there were too many complications in its fabrication process and the prototype form. These sketches were done to further explore the possibilities of creating a structure within the established curved geometric form.

IN this week’s algorithmic exploration, there was no task given however I was conducting further exploration using image sampler by sampling wind and water test images in grasshopper and mapping it onto a contour surfaces. The following matrix explored a range in the depths of extrusion, gradient and direction of extruded surfaces.

IN this week’s algorithmic exploration, the task given was to use Ladybug to compute the effects of solar on a building using Copenhagen weather data information. This program was handy in understanding site analysis but hard to comprehend when I tried to input wind parameters to test the wind patterns. In addition to this week’s task, I’ve included the gridshell structure definition which I established for the design proposal as a further development away from waffle structures. I’ve tried inputting the structure into ladybug but the definition did not work out as planned
