One Park, two distinct areasWith an urban entertainment plaza in the south, anchored by the Stadium, Aquatics Centre and 114m tall ArcelorMittal Orbit, the area will be animated with fountains, art installations and an ever-changing flow of activities and events. Capturing the waterside spirit of London’s South Bank, this will be a vibrant new events space at the heart of the Park.
The north of the Park by contrast will feature a river valley, centred around waterways, parklands and green space, offering outdoor activities including recreational and informal training space as well as a host of cycle paths and pedestrian walkways.

It is expected that the Park will attract up to 7 million visitors by the end of 2014 and host a wide range of year round cultural, sporting, business and community events. Westfield Stratford City, which neighbours the south plaza and acts as the main gateway to the Olympic Park, has an anticipated total footfall of 23 million.
The Stadium, Aquatics Centre, VeloPark and Multi-Use Arena will host national and international competitions.
With its 20,000 capacity, the south plaza is ideally suited for hosting a range of high performance and community events, including fan fests.
The north park offers an outdoor lawned event space for up to 8,000 people. This area will be heavily animated with local community and grass roots sports.
