Goal: Ensure a smooth transition and transfer of knowledge from the Public Health Institute staff to the California Department of
Public Health, Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention Branch State civil service staff for select services.
Objective 1: Beginning October 1, 2014, through September 30, 2015, under the direction of and in partnership with the Nutrition
Education and Obesity Prevention Branch staff, Public Health Institute staff will transition subject matter knowledge and information
by: providing a maximum of 1,500 hours of technical assistance and developing, as specified in the scope of work: guides, toolkits,
programmatic resources, print materials, trainings, reports and support the continuation of selected activities.

General Deliverables
1. Within each functional area, Public Health Institute (PHI) staff, will work in conjunction with designated Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention Branch (NEOPB) staff to obtain information of needs and provide finalized scope of work deliverables. PHI will provide up to three rounds of edits to all documents. NEOPB will send finalized documents through the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) approval processes.
In order to ensure deliverable finalization within the three rounds of edits for the toolkits (activity 9a), guides (activities 9b, 10, and 12), and train-the-trainer modules (activity 15), NEOPB and PHI will approach the deliverables using an agreed upon work order format to ensure timelines are met, and agreed upon template layout is used. Initial drafts submitted to the CDPH NEOPB will be thoroughly proofread by PHI for spelling and grammar, and formatting issues.
