CMP aims at bringing out talents of our primary students. The newsletter is a
platform to explore the latent talents and aspirations of the children and staff
of our Vidyalaya.
With this aim, Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, B.E.G.& C. Roorkee is uploading the
second spell of newsletter under CMP for the session 2016-17 highlighting glimpses of
our Primary Section.
Morning Assembly-Our school starts with Morning Assembly. where we make
a firm commitment to do our best for the day. Pledge, thought, news, special
item, birthday celebration & celebrations of important days are an integral part
of it.
CCA- ‘Talent knows no bounds.’ To bring out hidden talents of the students,
inter house competitions of various activities were held as per CCA calendar.
Rangoli, gift wrapping, clay modelling, group song competition, solo song
competition extempore speech and Science quiz, English calligraphy and
drawing competitions were organized.

Annual Sports – Sports day was organized on 19th Nov 2016 in which
students participated with great zeal and won many prizes in various
events.

Scouts & Guides – Activities of cubs & bulbul are carried out in the
Vidyalaya time to time. These activities inculcate quality of devotion and
dedication towards our nation.
Grandparents day- To develop the virtue of respect and love towards the
elders and to learn from their experience, a grandparent’s day was
celebrated on 22nd December. A skit was staged by the students on this
occasion. Few games were organized in which they won prizes.
Tal and Cal – our activity cum resource room is equipped with LCD
projector and OHP. PPT’s based on subject and lesson are shown in
block periods. Use of interactive board is being done by teachers.
Utilization of Library- A class library is maintained by each class teacher.
Books are provided to all the students according to their standard.
Surprise Inspection- A surprise inspection was carried out on 7th
December 2016 under the supervision of honourable Assistant
Commissioner Mrs. Neeta Khurana, K.V.S.R.O. Dehradun Region. Many
valuable suggestions were given by the elite members team.
Celebrations – Celebrations of important days brings joy, happiness and
above all harmony and fraternity.
Gandhi Jayanti , Handwashing days , UNO day , world polio day , Birth
anniversary of Smt. Indira Gandhi , Jawaharlal Nehru , Lal Bahadur Shastri
, Swami Vivekananda, Subhash Chandra Bose , Children’s day , KVS
Foundation day , Republic day etc marked the main celebrations
Republic Day – was observed on 26 January 2017. Flag was hoisted
by Colonel K.L.Rahul, CO S.T.B.T., Nominee chairman Kendriya
Vidyalaya No.1, B.E.G. & C. Roorkee. Patriotic songs and folk dances
were the main attractions of the celebration which started with the
address of the chief guest of the day.
Birthday celebration of Lord Baden Powell and cashless rally
22.2.2017
Lord Baden Powel’s birthday was celebrated on 22.2.17 in the Vidyalaya
premises and a rally on cashless payment awareness was organised in
Khanjarpur area in Roorkee.
