Cutting Costs by 10% Primary method for cutting costs is to reduce
service levels in the unincorporated area.
Reducing Route 75 by one bus in the peak hour would provide approximately$97,000 (11%).
Service on Route 75 was preliminarily reduced in 2012/13 tentative budget before the Board reconsidered that action in adopted budget.
RTS Rate Formula Current rate formula is based on per hour service
in the unincorporated area
In absence of a regional funding source, the current situation is as fair and equitable as possible.
9.3% of RTS service miles are in the unincorporated area.
The County funds 4.6% of RTS operating budget through annual service agreement.

Could improve on-time service but would not provide cost savings
