Dear Parents and Guardians,
Special Grandparent and Special Person’s Day Grandparents Day is always an excellent way for students and their families to come together. This special day was celebrated in the Prep grades this morning. It was lovely to see so many specials visitors be in our school community today. They all shared a lovely morning tea together , children were able to show and celebrate their wonderful achievements. Thank you to our Prep team, Maggie, Marissa, Katherine and Fran for organising such a wonderful and special event.

Mahmoud Elmoustafa from Grade 3A for his fantatstic ‘Jumping Frogs’project.
Thank you and safe holidays The first half of the year has been a very busy and constructive one. As a school we have done a lot of work around assessment, continued to develop our communication processes, broadened the co-curricular programs across the school and worked to improve the appearance of gardens and school presentation thanks to Chris Walker. As we move into second semester there are a number of activities planned. We are so lucky to have such a committed staff, parent and student community and the thought of all of these coming together is exciting to be part a community. In preparation for a busy second semester I wish you all a safe, warm and restful period over the mid-year break. Kind regards, Lisa Audino Assistant Principal
Happy holidays everyone from the
KidsMatter Team, 2016
This first half of the year has been
quite eventful with Breakfast Club,
Harmony Day, Life Skills continuing,
Lunch and Recess Clubs, and lots of
positive feedback and interest in our
‘Welcome’ signs. More signage
celebrating our ‘inclusiveness’ is on
its way. Thanks in particular to
Shane Penhall for all his efforts
organising these.
Our teachers have attended and
participated in training sessions for
Component 2 – Social and Emotional
Learning and will continue with the
remaining sessions in Terms III and IV.
In consideration of Ramadan and
3-Way-Conferences (and the very
wet and miserable weather) this
Term’s Community Event will be
postponed to Early Term III.
Please watch this space.
Cheers

Review of
Newsletter
distribution:
We are reviewing the way we
send information home to
families via our weekly
newsletter. Options for reading
the newsletter could be from the
following: Tiqbiz app on your
phone/ipad/tablet/computer,
email or by clicking on the
newsletter link on the school
website.
From the commencement of
term three our school will no
longer be sending a paper copy
of the newsletter home to each
family. There will however, be
limited copies held at the office
for those unable to access an
electronic copy. This will
eventually be phased out as well.

Friday 24th June
The students of Roxburgh Park PS will be participating in the National Rose Nose Day. On this day
students can come to school dressed in red, wearing a red nose (if you choose to buy one). It will be a gold
coin donation on the day for being out of uniform.
As of Wednesday 15th of June, students will be selling red noses and other products. They range in price
from $3 for a red nose to $6 for a red nose teddy.
We enjoy all students to get behind this cause as it raises money for the SIDS (Sudden Infant Death
Syndrome) foundation.
