Sunday, Nov. 24, the Williams Route 66 Marathon starts Downtown at 8 a.m. and finishes in theBrady Arts District. Crowds up to 11,000 are anticipated to attend this Boston-qualifying race,
which is a fundraiser for Tulsa Area United Way and includes a Half Marathon and Marathon
Relay. See the attached maps for locations, parking, timelines and road closures. For moreinformation, visit www.route66marathon.com.
Vehicles parked in the start/finish line areas and on the racecourse that are not authorized by theMarathonare subject to tow and fines. Police will assist motorist with crossing the racecourse at
signal lights when it will not interfere with the marathon participants. Motorist can expect
average delays of at least 15 minutes at all crossing points. For designated crossings in
neighborhoods, contact TPD Special Events at (918) 586-6054 or (918) 586-6067.
Depending upon any unknown circumstances or changing components of an event, the road
closure information may be altered by the Tulsa Police and Fire Departments accordingly.
