Significance to UTM
This practice results in lasting impact to the UTM community and without this practice, UTM would suffer loss greatly
• Without this program, graduates are unable to meet the employers expectation of 70% soft skills.
• iCGPA is still under-planning while FS roadmap is already in its 4th batch.
• FS roadmap program is different and better than iCGPA and UTM's merit system.
• Alumni givingback in various forms: contribution, collaboration, donation, linkages, knowledge-sharing, internship and job placement.
Data and research
The practice is based on data and research did by the faculty and collaborate with external experts and consistently used in decision making.
• 4-year roadmap is unique only to Faculty of Science, based on our student experience and the short-comings of the previous conventional FYE programs.
• Consistently used for decision making for student development on a faculty-level.
Meeting Exemplary (3) Practices
Meeting Exemplary Practices
CriteriaExemplary (3) Requirement
Exemplary (3) Practices
Continual QualityImprovement
This practice addresses area of concern for quality improvement purposes, can solve the problem and can be sustained efficiently.
• Improvements to Roadmap began at 2010.
• Initially focused on activities, then it is focused on SQ from 2013 and RO from 2015.
Revenue and financial
Revenue generated from multiple existing internal and external sources with internal effective and efficient spending and can contribute to UTM funds
• All programs were approved without funding and at the same generated income
• Examples: Yayasan Penyayang dapat RM30k. K2J Rm10k. Colour Run, MRSM Mersing, Maths Night.
Evidence andDocumentation
Evidence of practice is clear, well documented and maintained and easy to access.
• Evidence and Document are available in Google Drive and online website.
Faculty of Science…where great minds are
nurtured…provides fundamental strength for
a sustainable future...
