Sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of Union TerritoryLevel Steering Committee comprising the following for implementation of theCentrally sponsored Pilot scheme on "Fortification of Rice & its Distributionunder the Public Distribution System".

The terms of reference of the committee:-

i. To ensure coordination/ monitoring with the line departments foreffective implementation of the scheme on "Fortification of Rice & itsDistribution under the Public Distribution System".

ii. The committee shall periodically review the progress and provideinputs/ suggestions on resolving the challenges faced in the duecourse of implementation of the scheme.

•

iii. The committee shall meet frequently as required, to take stock of thepilot scheme and facilitate its implementation for providing fortified riceunder ICDS/MDM/PDS in the Union territory of Ladakh.
