Strength the interaction between “sensor technologies” and “data
analyses & monitoring tools” in order to preserve water resources
and enhance process efficiency in water supply and sewerage
sectors.
MARKET SOLUTIONS
Resource efficiency in water treatment processes for water supply and
wastewater, in terms of chemical dosing and energy.
Early warning systems to detect pollution of freshwaters, groundwater
catchments and drinking water resources.
Control networks to monitor industrial and urban wastewater

INNPRONTA ITACA . Research on Treatment Technologies, Reuse and Control for Future Sustainability of Wastewater Treatment
GENERAL GOALS:
Research of new concepts of wastewater treatment technologies – urban and industrial – that allow, in a more efficient and sustainable way, transform current treatment process in a reuse strategy of substance, subproducts and waste, energy valorisation, minimizing impact over environment.

OptimEDAR. Efficient Management of Small and Medium Wastewater Treatment Plants
GENERAL GOALS: Based on an eco-innovative, on-line monitoring of the aeration process in the
biological reactor, its main benefits are:
20 % reduction in the cost of the energy consumption of the biologic reactor.
Enhanced water quality of effluents with at least 20% less nitrogen and phosphate.
Reduction of 15% in the production of sewage sludge.

WWQM – WasteWater Quality Monitoring
GENERAL GOALS:
Based on an eco-innovative on-line monitoring of WWTPs effluent,
aquaTest-MO product allows WWTPs to run affordable on-line
monitoring scheme of the process, deriving in higher quality of
treated water, meaning an increased productivity of the whole
system and a faster water quality control loop.
