Subject: Reporting of Port State Control lnspections and Detentions

References:SOLAS, Ghapter l, Part B, Rule 11, A and C

1. In order to improve the exchange of information regarding Port StateControl (PSC) Inspections to Vanuatu Flagged vessels, thisAdministration requires to all Masters, Owners/Operators andRecognized Organization to report immediately to our Port StateControl Section, all PSC inspections reports.

This procedure shall be included in the ISM manual of the vessels.

The actions taken by the operators/owners to correct the deficienciesfound during PSC inspections must be send, duly documented, assoon as possible to the section mentioned on the previous paragraph.

4. The Recognized Organization shall send the survey report to theSafety Department section in cases where the attendants of theRecognized Organizations are required by the port state controlofficers.

All Vanuatu Vessel owners reporting a Detention by PSC shouldforward in addition to this form, the PSC form provided by the PSCinspector in addition to the name and contact details of said PSC office.

Please be advised that the correction of deficiencies shall be sent bythe Masters, Operators/Owners using the format in appendix I of thisMarine Bulletin No. 114.
