WHY MAURITIUS?
• Located in the Indian Ocean, just off the African coast, Mauritius boasts sapphire waters, gorgeous beaches, hikes with stunning views, a multitude of water sports, boat trips to perfect islets, fabulous botanical gardens, fishing villages and colonial plantations – we could go on for a while.
• It is also on a similar time zone with Europe.
• Apart from all that, the island also has a fast growing entrepreneurial ecosystem and is a great spot for location independent professionals. Read more about that here.
VENUE
Project Getaway Mauritius takes place at Otentic, the only eco safari lodge on the island. It is set along the river, within canoe distance of a gorgeous waterfall and the picture perfect lagoon of Ile aux Cerfs.

Boat ride to Ile Aux Cerfs & snorkelingA catamaran will take us to the gorgeous Ile Aux Cerfs (Deer Island) for the day, where we will enjoy one of the world’s most beautiful sandy beaches, a stunning lagoon, we will snorkel to get a taste of the rich underwater world. And have a BBQ – on board Yes, this one below is the beach there.

Vincent Pollet and Louis Oberlé are partners at www.ict.io, a news blog on the digital & tech world, in Mauritius & Indian Ocean.They will visit us to give us a great overview of the startup ecosystem in the Indian Ocean.Chill & Sunset on the mountain with snack & drinks
We’ll walk up a mountain in proximity to the PG venue to bask in the world famous
Mauritian sunset while having snacks and drinks – and conversations you wish would
never end.

Being a (female) entrepreneur in MauritiusMarie-Noëlle Elissac-Foy has founded and currently leads the “The Talent Factory”, a PR Consultancy.She will share from her experience as a (female) entrepreneur in Mauritius.
Co-working spaces tourWe will visit several of the co-working spaces
on the island and get to know the location independent, freelancing and startup
community better. We will, naturally, follow that with dinner and sunset on the beach.

1. Mauritian solutions presentationWe’ll hear from a couple of solution providers about their available offers (CRM,ERP, e-filing) developed on the island.
2. Made in Moris product tasting “Made in Moris” is used to identify a selection of trustworthy products manufactured by both SME’s and large enterprises across industries.We’ll get to taste and enjoy some of their certified products!

Brunch at "Le Off"We'll spend a lazy, wonderful Sunday having what some deem to be the absolute best brunch on the island - at Le Off. Eggs benny with a side of fun in the pool, followed by good conversation with a side of dessert and a sun downer twist - we hope everyone can handle all this hard work ;)

SELECTION & COST
• In order to ensure the highest possible quality of the final
group of participants, applicants go through a selection
process that starts with filling in a signup form, followed by a
Skype interview
• Participation cost, all inclusive varies between $2800 and
$4350 per 21 days depending on the package selected
• The event is a not-for-profit initiative, which significantly
reduces costs and ensures maximum value for money
