Starview Products
SVI product range consists Starview branded transceiver modules and accessories.
All Starview branded transceiver modules are MSA compliant and are offered with wide variety of form factors: GBIC, SFP, SFP+, SFP28, XFP, XENPAK, X2, QSFP+, QSFP28, CFP, CFP2 and CFP4. These modules are pre-configured before delivery and can be remotely reprogrammed using STARPOD (Starview Programmable Optical Device) in the field. This unique feature provides flexibility to customers to use a common Starview branded transceiver module to support multiple brands of networking equipment.
SVI offers a wide range of accessories:
• STARTAP (Starview Optical Tap) Modular network taps to split the optical fibres with customized tap ratios for network monitoring purpose;
• STARMUX (Starview Multiplexer)Compact passive CWDM (Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing) to alleviate fiber congestion. The key advantage is to combine up to 18 applications of data rates ranging from 100Mbps to 10Gbps over a single fiber core. The OADM (Optical Add Drop Multiplexing) allows applications to add-drop along the CWDM optical path;
• Optical patch cables Pre-terminated in factory using bend-insensitive fiber to ensure reliable interconnection of the networking equipment;
• Optical accessoriesAttenuators, couplers and adapters ensure reliable network communications with optimum signal quality and performance.

Starview Maintenance and Support (SMART)

Features
Starview Programmable Optical Device (STARPOD) is designed to allow the user to re-program Starview transceiver modules (typically SFP/ SFP+ and XFP) in the field. The STARPOD is also capable to tune the DWDM wavelengths of the DWDM tunable SFP+ module. This flexibility to re-program the transceiver module allows the user to connect the module to interwork with multiple leading vendors. The user will save time and money to support the wide varieties of networking equipment today.
Using STARPOD with a computer, the user logs into the internet and re-program the transceiver module with a license key obtainable from Starview certified partner. The re-programming takes less than a minute for each transceiver module. After re-programming, the transceiver module can work with the leading vendor of choice. The module can be re-programmed as many times, as long as the license key is validated.

A key operational feature for any network operator is to rapidly recover from any mishaps caused by human error. Traditionally this is a complex operation that is vendor specific and requires both an understanding of the full state of each box and their relationship to each other at a certain point in time. Apstra AOS 3.2 Intent Time Voyager feature speeds the time to resolution by giving the operator the ability to move the entire state of the network (intent, configuration, and continuous validations), backwards or forwards in time with a few simple clicks. Apstra can uniquely deliver this capability due to Apstra AOS’s Intent-Based approach, including its single source of truth and assurance validations which are at the foundation of AOS.
As networks have expanded and applications have increased their requirements for geographic diversity, there have been a number of vendor-specific proprietary features introduced to address stretched Layer-2 domains and Active-Active topologies. AOS now supports an industry standard EVPN overlay that extends VXLAN segments outside of the AOSmanaged topology, allowing the architect to integrate multiple disparate compute centers for effective load balancing and resource sharing.
AOS now supports a number of major enhancements for large network topologies that use the industry standard 5 Stage Clos esign. Architects can add racks directly to existing pods or even add entirely new pods to an existing topology, allowing rapid expansion of the network without the need to develop new configurations by hand. Monitoring of the newly added network segments is entirely automated, and insertion of the equipment into the network can be done without impact to existing network traffic.

L3 switches is designed for enterprise distribution and ISP aggregation to connect the access switch together. High performance hardware based L2 switching and L3 routing for both IPv4 and IPv6 traffic. VRRP were supported for router redundancy. Also, support hardware stacking via 10G SFP+ port and DAC cable, no special stacking module and stacking cable are needed. Multiple switches within the stack can be managed as a single entity with a single IP address, the configuration and firmware can be automatically synchronized.

Wireless Intelligent, Location & Analytics Suite (WILAS) is a 3rd generation wireless application platform, a cloud-based service which links with the Wi-Fi infrastructure for value add Location and Analytics solutions. WILAS is AP agnostic and supports heterogeneous Wi-Fi networks.
WILAS is made up of a number of key modules as shown in Figure1. The modules are designed to effectively perform various functions from choices of access control, flexible and simple communications delivery system, to suite of analytic reports and dashboards for in-depth analysis of the venues and customers. The platform will also offer other value solutions including Asset and Venue Management, Workforce Manage-ment and 3rd Dimension Analytics.
WILAS system is simple yet efficient, it is a cloud platform with the WILAS server and Radius server as the key components. Clients’ Wi-Fi network, IT infrastructure and applications integrate with WILAS through the corporate firewall. The integration is done through 2 simple Controller configurations; external Captive Portal & Radius setting.
WILAS is designed with the convergence of deep knowledge on how W-Fi infrastructure and data analytics work together with the business understanding from various vertical markets needs.By leveraging the untapped data from multiple systems and networks, WILAS transforms raw data into valuable information and insights, which empowers the service modules that drive business values.
IAM is the base module which interacts with all other modules for enhancing the experience of signing up for Wi-Fi services, as well as to empower the Communica-tions, Marketing, Analytics, and Venue, Asset, Workforce management services.Apart from offering a comprehensive set of access authentication methods includ-ing OTP, T&C, Social Media, etc.. Users can configure IAM to execute different authentication methods in a scheduled basis. This capability greatly simplifies operational efforts and allows users the flexibility to pre-define access control base on different criteria.Other than supporting a comprehensive set of authentication options, IAM also serves as the AAA Server (Authentication, authorization & Accounting), Middleware Server for external integration & Customer Engagement Portal.
