As I write, we have just come to the end of a record pantomime season at the venue. ‘Peter Pan’ was not only a fantastic show, but broke all box office records with almost 18,000 people visiting us over Christmas. The production was particularly special for our pantomime producer Robert Hopkins, who celebrated his twentieth anniversary at the Princes Hall. This is a phenomenal achievement, and he must be congratulated for continually raising the bar and delivering outstanding shows year after year. It’s often said that, ‘you are never too old for pantomime’, but it’s also true that ‘it’s never too early to book’, and we have already taken a large number of bookings for our next production, ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’, (see page 17 for details). We are proud to present another season of top quality shows for you this Spring. It is a particularly strong year for comedy, with top names such as Jason Manford, Omid Djalili, Roy ‘Chubby’ Brown, Russell Kane, Jimmy Carr, Dave Gorman, Henning Wehn and Lee Mack now on sale. Along with popular children’s shows such as Peppa Pig, Bananas In Pyjamas and Chris & Pui, we have first time visits from An Evening of Dirty Dancing, Let’s Hang On and Madness frontman, Suggs.
We host such a variety of events at the venue these days, (around 900 in total each year), and this brochure details only the major ones. Cinema, children’s workshops, youth theatre sessions, tea dances, discos, and exercise classes are all on offer, as well as our many professional shows. If you want to keep up-to-date with everything we have going on, then as well as making sure you are on our mailing list to receive one of these brochures every six months, let the box office have your email address, or follow us on Facebook and Twitter. All our facilities are also available for hire.
Finally, I would like to thank our great team of staff for their hard work all year round, but particularly on this occasion Vanessa Lee and Darren Carrig, who are both leaving us after many years of service.
If you have any feedback about our service, good or bad, then please let me know on my direct line 01252 398570.

As politically incorrect as ever, ‘The World’s Most Outrageous Comedian’ is far too rude for TV, so this live performance is the only place to

Jason has had a busy time since he was last on the road. After his opera singing turn saw him emerge the winner on Born To Shine (ITV1) Jason put
his new found talent into practice joining Alfie Boe on tour prior to a well-received run in the critically acclaimed hit west-end musical Sweeney Todd alongside Michael Ball and Imelda
Staunton. However, his comedy bones weren’t completely idle as he enjoyed appearances on QI (BBC Two), Big Fat Quiz of the Year (Channel 4), and Comedy World Cup (Channel 4).
