Day 2, Monday 11th May, Garabandal: After breakfast, we will have a guid-ed visit and tour here. During our stay, you will have time for reflection, de-votion and following the stations of the Cross. We will speak with villagers who witnessed the apparitions; celebrate Mass as we experience the tran-quillity of the village. From July 2, 1961 and sporadically until November 13, 1965, the Blessed Virgin visited them, speaking, guiding and confiding se-crets of future events. The children reported a promised future miracle at a grove of pine trees on a cliff overlooking the village of Garabandal. We re-turn to our hotel for dinner and overnight. Day 3, Tuesday 12th May, Garabandal, Free at leisure to explore the Holy Site at your own pace. Mass will be arranged. Day 4: Wednesday 13th May, Santo Toribio/Garabandal: After breakfast we will travel to Santo Toribio de Liebana Monastery. The monastery was founded prior to the 6th Century. According to tradition, the Monastery venerates that largest piece of the Lignum Crucis discovered in Jerusalem by Saint Helena of Constantinople and brought from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre by Saint Turibius of Astorga. Return to our hotel for evening din-ner. Day 5, Thursday 14th May, Garabandal/UK: Mass will be arrange prior to departure to the airport for our flight back to London Stansted.
GARABANDAL - The Apparitions 1961 - 1965
San Sebastian de Garabandal is unique in the history of Marian appari-tions, with the Blessed Virgin Mary appearing over 2000 times from July 2, 1961 until November 13, 1965. The four visionaries were simple unsophis-ticated girls, Conchita Gonzalez, Mari Loli Mazon, Jacinta Gonzalez and Mari Cruz Gonzalez, aged between 11 and 12. Whilst the surnames of three of the girls are identical, they were unrelated. Our lady gave two important messages for the world. The first message was on the 18th of October 1961 and the second on the 18th of June 1965. The messages of Garabandal have to do with our conversion of heart. We must ask forgiveness for our sins and strive to lead good lives. Since then the people of this humble and remote village have gathered together daily for the recitation of the rosary and litanies of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
