PlayStation 4 coming Nov.15 - CBS News

Sony announced Tuesday at Gamescom that the PlayStation 4 will go on sale mlb the show 15 onNov. 15. The electronics giant initially announced the video game console in February and revealedits new design at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in June.

The PS4 has a x86 CPU, 8 gigabytes of unified memory and local storage hard drive and an updatedDualShock 4 controller with a touchpad, with light-friendly censor, stereo camera and button forsharing. Play session will be saved in RAM and updates will now happen in the background.

Sony also demonstrated several launch titles at event. Atotal of 15 PS4 exclusive launch games were announced.A sample of games include a new apocalyptic adventuregame "Everybody's Gone to the Rapture," "Shadow of theBeast," "Infamous: Second Son," "Killzone: Shadow Fall,""Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag," "Watchdog," and"Battlefield 4." The PS4 will also be getting "Minecraft."

Independent game developers will play a large role forPlayStation, with games like "Rogue Legacy" and "The Binding of Isaac."

The PS4 will also integrate the highly popular online gaming video platform Twitch. The websitefeatures live streams of video game shows, gameplay and events. The service will be free for PS4users.

The PS4 will launch in 32 countries on Nov. 15 and cost $399.
