Description: Overview of the Oroville Dam Spillway, Edward Hyatt Pump –
Generating Plant, and Oroville Spillways Incident of 2017. It will also include what
happened at the dam, the sequence of events that lead to the protection of the power
plant, rebuilding of the spillway, restoration of the river, and how ICS was critical in
organizing the initial restoration work of the Dam. Additionally, we will speak about
the construction that has taken place, what will continue to take place, and speak to
the general nature of any accidents/injuries and the overall logistics it takes to run
and maintain such a large project.

Description: Discussion of equipment Roseville Electric uses to test their utility
poles. History of how we contracted this effort previously, the equipment we
purchased to perform this task in house including custom configuration and an
analysis of the cost savings we have achieved. Presentation will be a joint effort
between City of Roseville and IML Incorporated. IML Incorporated is the
manufacturer of the Resistograph pole tester as well as other wood testing and
measurement devices.

Roseville Energy Park (REP) – The REP is a natural gas-fired combined-cycle
electrical generating facility that consists of 2-natural gas and 1 steam turbine with

Folsom Powerhouse State Historic Park – Built in 1895, the plant, one of oldest
hydroelectric facilities in the world, was one of the nation’s first power systems to

Description: Douglas Substation is one of the oldest substation in the system
originally constructed in early 1960’s. The upgrade project consisted of renovating
the original outdoor breakers to new indoor switchgear, changing the original single
phase transformers to larger 3-phase units more than doubling the capacity of the
substation and reconfiguring the 60kV yard to network in the substation to the rest of
the system.

Presentation 9: PGWWTP Cogeneration Project - Micro Turbines at WWTP (40 mins)

Description: Discuss project that uses digester gas from PGWWTP expansion
project. Waste gas is refined removing containments and carbon dioxide, and
compressed to produce renewable compressed natural gas to fuel City’s solid waste
collection vehicles. Waste gas from the gas upgrading process will be blended with
natural gas and used as fuel for stationary power generation.
