Moving into
the B3Hub
was a
piece of
cake! The B3Hub for Allied Health is now
open and staff celebrated their
achievement with cake in their new
kitchen diner.
Longest-serving staff member Barbara
and newest arrival Tayla did the
honours, and staff settled down to
enjoy their first lunchtime in the new
activity based working unit.
With a spacious active zone, chat
booths, quiet zone, do not disturb
rooms, studio, lockers and the all-
important kitchen, the bright and
welcoming space is designed to
promote collaboration and promote
contemporary, digitally-enabled ways
of working. Congratulations, team! Job
well done!
The B3Hub is located on level 3 at
Blacktown Hospital and is for Allied
Health staff. If you are meeting staff in
the Hub, please remember this is an
activity based workspace and follow
the team etiquettes displayed in the
unit.
There is no change to phone numbers.

Gone in 90 seconds Our A W Edwards site village is moving to make room for construction
at the front of the hospital, so all the site sheds have to go!
Fortunately, professional driver Mark was on the job. As a veteran of
more than 40 years in construction, his impressive driving skills were
put to good use as he manoeuvred a site shed out of the yard and on
its way to its next job in Queensland.
Once it was loaded up, it took him all of 90 seconds to get it out of the
yard. Nice job, Mark!

On the dot It’s not a task for the faint-hearted.
The new hospital will have more than 1000 dispensers for
handwash, handrub, antiseptic handrub and moisturiser to
ensure we maintain good hand hygiene, but that means
somebody (or in our case a team of somebodies) has to
check and mark the position of every dispenser.
Armed with just coloured dots and determination, the team
tackled levels 6, 7 and 8 this week.
You can thank us when the hospital opens mid year by
following handwashing guidelines and keeping yourself nice!
Driver Mark ready to go on site controller Renata’s signal
Sunny Queensland here we come! The site village is moving on.
Robyn, Nicole from Infection Control, Chris and Jenny join the dots!
