Partial Dentures
• Partial dentures are removable dental appliances designed to replace missing teeth and are commonly retained and supported by the remaining natural teeth.
• Retention often involves wire retention around the natural teeth and these wires are often visible.
Varieties of Partial Dentures
• Partial dentures using wire retention are the most common variety.
• There are a number of other varieties that are available for patients who do not wish to see the wire retention.
